| One of the reasons I'm pumped to go to Austria is that I speak French (my intership is in a French speaking school) and also because I speak German. If my Internship is confirmed, I'll get straight on trying to learn some Austrian German and to bettering my German beause I think that's what's fair! Also because I'm supposed to teach there so how do I communicate with students that don't speak French if I don't speak the language?? |

| It really is a respect thing. Everybody wants to go to major tourist destinations on a tight budget, and then act a fool while there and expect to be treated like family. I've seen so many clips and videos of it. ESPECIALLY with americans. Like Americans going to Spain or france or mexico and expecting everybody to only speak english. |

| when i was bartending, i had a couple who didnt want to accept that no, we do not have "americano" on the menu. just leave? if we dont serve what you want? |

| Apothecary That's very fair. Tourists sometime thinks they're owed everything simply because they wave money in people's noses. I find it important to try to immerse yourself a bit in the culture and be respectful. I think it's only natural to try and learn a bit of the language and be respectful when you're out and about. Like, I get it you can't speak every language in the world, but what do you mean you're going to a french speaking city without knowing how to say basic things and you're offended when everything is in French? When I go to the US I don't expect people to speak French! |

| we have signs all over the city to cover up and not walk around in just your swimsuits, and what do tourists do? walk around half naked ;-; yes, its hot, but have some decency, man. youre not on the beach, youre in the middle of the city |

| Y Es, there ARE very nice places you can visit where as a tourist you will be treated very well, but the top name tourists destinations are NOT going to be those places unless you are at an actual resort where the workers get paid to deal with trashed out tourists. |

| This is controversial, but tourists need to stop getting upset that they are treated like tourists. Most places don't LIKE being tourists destinations, because for the most part tourists don't respect the value of the culture and monuments that are important to the natives. ESPECIALLY in Italy. You don't live there, they aren't going to treat you like the neighbors whose family has owned the same villa for 100+ years. |

| Caesar Yeah I get that. I'm lucky to not be in a touristy city but everything is so pricey here that if they raised the costs for the tourists people would riot! |

| Nero Realistically, you should do research on these places before traveling. If you want a luxury trip, you need to budget for a luxury trip. The cat calling and the tourism hate are easy to find when you research. |
