Character Description
Biography
Once sure that she was downwind, Andromeda lowered her stomach to the ground. A few leaps in front of her, a pair of long ears turned back and forth in the tall grass. Prey like this should be easy to catch with the proper technique, and her mother had taught her well.

Using featherlight steps, Andromeda crept forward. The rabbit wasn't suspecting a thing. This would be an easy-

"You're doing it wrong."

With a yelp, Andromeda tripped over her own paws. The rabbit startled before darting through the grass. It's gone before she could even think of pursuing it.

There's a moment of disbelief. Then a laugh from behind made her hackles raise. "One would think that a mere rabbit is no big challenge for the daughter of a battle-hardened warrioress."

"Oh, you-," a snarl grows from the back of her throat. With a quick turn, Andromeda bared her teeth and almost tripped again. Angōs gave her an incredulous look. "Perhaps you should leave hunting to the professionals, princess-"

"I had it," Andromeda growled, "and I was doing right! You were the one who scared it." Angōs should be thanking the ancestors that he was a pack wolf and not an intruder.

The white wolf snorted in amusement. "The wind would have changed before you got into position," he stated, rolling his eyes. "There's no way you would have caught it by surprise in time."

The wind had indeed changed by now, Andromeda noticed. She huffed to cover up her embarrassment. "And you would have caught it, I'm sure."

Angōs grinned. "Yes."

It was Andromeda's time to roll her eyes now. The wind gently pulled loose hairs from their coats, the white and cream strands swirling across the soon-to-be spring plains.

She sighed. "My mother battled other wolves for fun, and I can't even take down a rabbit when my pack needs food."

"Soon, you'll be taking down elk all by yourself." Angōs went to press his head against her neck in encouragement. Despite herself, Andromeda's tail wagged in return. "Come on," the white wolf said, "I saw another one hiding in a bush on the way here."
