Shadow has always been a bit of an... odd... she-wolf.
From the moment she was born, her mother could tell that she was different from her siblings, with a distant look always in her leafy green eyes.
It wasn't until Shadow was older than she revealed her secret power; she could converse with the lost souls of the pack's ancestors. It's an unusual gift, for sure, but a valued one. It has always drawn a sharp line in the sand between Shadow and the other wolves... even when she wished that it hadn't.
