Tangle stalked through the bushes, huffing silently in annoyance. She was going to kill him when she found him. ~Sly! Where are you!?~ She continued to move through the swamp, her anger growing steadily. ~Sly! I know you can hear me! You have that weird listening thing you do! Don't pretend you don't!~ She yelled out into the swamp. The sound of a crack behind her made Tangle jump and whirl at the same time. She growled when she didn't see anything. ~Sly, you better hope that isn't you.~ Tangle looked closer into the shadows but then reared back in shock as a pair of brown-green eyes appeared right in front of her. A sudden howl of laughter made her snap her head to the left. Sly tumbled out of the bushes, shaking on the ground. Tangles gaze returned to the owner of the brown-green eyes, another wolf, who was in a similar position to Sly. She scowled at both males. ~Jokes. Jokes! That's all you males ever play! Sly, I have half the mind to not let you have any dinner tonight. And you! Newcomer! Never, ever, ever help Sly play his jokes! He doesn't need help, at all! Do not encourage him!~ Tangle stormed away and headed back towards the den she and Sly had made their home. She wasn't worried about this new wolf. He hadn't killed Sly and instead helping him play a joke. No harm there. Except to her sanity, Tangle huffed to herself. She had stepped into a small clearing with a large oak, Sly's favorite oak, to be precise. The roots underneath made a large cave where she and Sly slept. ~Speak of the wolf, and he shall appear.~ Tangle mumbled. Sly had followed her into the clearing, the newcomer on his tail. ~Tangle! I would like you to meet Shadow! Hes very good at hiding, which you have seen for yourself.~ Sly chuckled. ~Can we keep him? Please?~ Sly pleaded. The newcomer, or Shadow also took on Sly's pleading expression. ~Please, can I stay? I don't have a pack. I like you guys! Please!~ Tangle rolled her eyes. ~You both are children. Of course you can stay. I don't know how you managed to survive thus far on your own without killing yourself.~ Tangle shook her head and went to crawl into the root cave but was stopped as two very heavy wolves jumped on top of her. ~Thank you, thank you, thank you~ Shadow cried, rubbing his head all over Tangles shoulder. Sly was throwing himself around yelling ~Yay! A new wolf! Someone I can play with!~ Tangle dragged herself out from underneath them and quickly ran for the safety of their home. Once inside the root cave, she was able to calm her heart. She poked her head out of the cave, glaring at the two wolves who were wrestling with each other. Sly had pinned down Shadow. ~Boys! If you don't start hunting right now, then I'm not going to be happy because that means I will be forced to hunt. If I am forced to hunt, then neither of you will be eating tonight.~ Both males stared at her with wide eyes, before turning tail and running into the swamp. Tangles face softened into a smile as they left. Chuckling, she went back inside the cave. They were funny, and would definitely keep her amused, as well as each other. Tangle sighed, content, and she slowly started thinking of her companions, and there new small little pack.
