Biography

The she-wolf sat atop the hill, gazing out at the rolling hills and valleys below. She sighed, for her heart was heavy, weighed down by a longing for times long forgotten.

She closed her eyes and remembered the days and nights of her past wolf lives. She knew them as if they were just yesterday, racing through the night with her packmates, yelping their joy and barking at the stars. She remembered days spent in the sun, lounging in the grass and rolling in the dirt, fatigued from a night of hunting.

And she remembered the smells, the sweet aromas of wildflowers blooming in the spring, the musky scent of the pack's den and the earthy smell of the forest and its creatures.

The she-wolf opened her eyes and looked once again upon the landscape before her, but it was no longer the same. Gone were the familiar trees and plants and critters. The air smelled of smoke and exhaust, and the hills had been replaced by faceless buildings and cars.

The she-wolf lowered her head and wept, for the days of her past wolf lives were gone forever. She would never again run through the night with her packmates, or bask in the sun with no cares in the world.

Still, she held onto hope that one day she would remember, and maybe even reclaim, what was lost. Until then, she would keep dreaming of times long past, times that she will never forget. She then turned around and headed back towards her pack that adopted her, making the best of this wolf life.
