Thunder echos above as the flashes of lighting light up the sky before the smell of smoke fills the air,
soon yellowy orange glow fills the sky as the crackle of flames grows closer.

A wolf calls out to the pack making sure all are there when two are seen so close to the fire's edge
the wolf runs to grab the pups, handing them off to two others. before the fire grows to close she tells the others to go.

before running to find a way not caught in smoke or drowned in flames, the wolf finds a narrow cave,
she did not hear the roar of the stream before ice cold wave came took her off her feet.

after the storm a body is found soaked and broken unmoving by the banks

a wolf looks on his eyes filled with pain as he sees his sisters unmoving form
