"Tawnypup?" Her older half brother and half sister, Silvernight and Shadowspring asked. "Whitepup?" Tawnypup poked her head out of the den. "Hi!" She said. "We're here! "Tawnypup, we're going out on an explore mission with the two of us, Green Lantern, Smokyfire, Splotchspots and Anaconda. Whitepup, Silverspots will be bringing you on a border patrol." Tawnypup nodded. She was at a higher rarity score than any of her siblings and she did well with most weather types. Whitepup could cope with all weather too, but not as well as she could. As they followed Smokyfire out onto the territory, Shadowspring asked Tawnypup a question. "Are you ready to become a full member of the pack tomorrow?" Tawnypup nodded. "Of course I am!" Tawnypup watched as the pack worked together to bring down prey, kill predators and track prey. She memorized how they each used their skills and hoped to add them to her own. As they returned to camp, they saw Silverspots and Whitepup returning. "How was your patrol?" Tawnypup asked. "Good. Yours?" Whitepup asked. Tawnypup nodded. "It was great!" Tawnypup knew Whitepup was jealous because she was rarer, had more talents and coped better in all weather than anyone else. Their bloodline has mostly been nearly heroes. They had positive in nearly everything but blizzard. Meanwhile, both Tawnypup and Whitepup had positives in blizzards. They were valuable members of the pack, Tawnypup thought, as she settled in for a nap. When she woke up the next morning, she and Whitepup were hurriedly being groomed and then taken outside. "Today is the beginning of a new year. It's time for Tawnypup and Whitepup to become full members of the pack. Tawnypup, from this moment on, you'll be known as Tawnyface. Whitepup, from this moment on, you'll be known as Whitespeck. You'll join another pack. May your ancestors guide your paws." Green Lantern finished. She was their nephew, despite being older than them. Their mother, Smokyfire, was Green Lantern's grandmother. Silvernight, their half sister, was Green Lantern's mother. As she saw Whitespeck was guided out of the camp by two strange wolves, Tawnyface knew she would never see Whitespeck again. She didn't know that she would give birth, in the future, to a generation of heroes and they would be the best explore team. She didn't know that she still had inherited her mother's legendary coat, just it wasnÂ’t visible.
