I certainly will reach out when I have the spare time! I'm about to have to get out for lunchtime. Although, I love that. I was very taken aback from the amount of documentation required in lab research. It's nearly triple that of regular veterinary medicine.
The Forgotten
Rain: Feel free to PM me anytime. I dont want to share in public chat but I feel as though we should talk. I understand the struggle of family trying to discourage you.
The Forgotten
Rain: Absolutely. My boyfriend works with Duke Hospital and takes care of the animals (from mice to cows) that are used for experiments that help people. Its crazy the amount of paper work they go through just to get the animals, let alone research. But its a good thing. Holds people accountable and lives arent 'thrown away'. They have purpose.

I really thank you for sharing your story Axol, as I needed to hear it! My family and myself have always been very demanding. I feel so far behind even for being just out of college. My mother never helped with making it not seem that way either, I had to set boundaries on how I couldnt handle her feedback anymore
The Forgotten
Hallow, Rain: Its my best achievement. I will never not brag about it! But yes, the first two doses I took made me sick but since they have tweaked the ingredients it seems like less people have bad reactions. It was more focused on immunity not comfort-ability. It was a good evil as I said. A little sick now, surviving later. :)

ha I hate when my boss is stuck talking to other patients and we're behind and I'm the only assistant >>

Vaccine and research ethics becomes extremely overwhelming. Especially intense when working in the laboratory medicine of rats and mice. USC uses pigs for myocardial infarction research to create devices to prevent and even cure it instantaneously.
The Forgotten
Rain: Yes, it was a good risk. I was very lucky! Dont give up hope. I worked in fast food for 10 years... I thought that was going to be my life... Thankfully it was just a stepping stone. I feel like at 33 I am doing well for myself. So I am still fairly young compared to people i know who are just started in their 40's with their career. You have time dear!! :)

Outstanding work, Axol!! I was so skeptical about the vaccine, was forced to take it, it made be pretty sick but overall has helped in future instances.
The Forgotten
Getting here was the interesting part. The company before I worked with cell cultures and got to dabble with human cell lines. We mostly used mouse but we had a brain and kidney human line. The history of those two human lines were sad. It made me think more about why ethics are important when handling people's lives. It redirected my career path into helping people. Side note: If you took a COVID vaccine I directly helped make a product that was used in created the Pfizer one :)
