Biography
Elaena was the daughter of Princess Tavora Asani and sister to Prince Samson Dances. She and her brother were the first pair of siblings in the Royal House since King Aemon Hawthorne and Highborn Prince Justinian. Tavora left the pair when they were pups, abandoning the throne to the disappointment and shame of the elder royals. There was no explanation for Tavora's disappearance--and no one spoke of her. It was later confirmed by Lady Wise Green that Tavora had died young--reaching only 5 years old. However, at the time Elaena grew up, she took her mother's disappearance particularly hard. She made a pact with her brother Samson, that they would be their generation's Aemon and Justinian. There was talk and even a small amount of tension between the siblings, as many wished for Samson to be King--he was the elder of the two. However, it was a fact that a Queen of Bron blood took precedence over a male in every situation. Only males could become Queen if they had no female siblings. Still, Elaena and Samson made that pact a reality. They became prodigious warriors and outfought any of their packmates. When Elaena became Crown Princess and was given more responsibilities, she mandated that every heir of the Royal House of Bron would be trained in combat. Elaena also had an interest in the bloodlines of key individuals. She orchestrated the pair-bonds of her descendants in many cases, breeding for strength, prowess, and cunning. She looks for the union of the youngest heir, Princess Triss Gwyara, to mate with Prince Morpheus Lanval to be her crowning success. In terms of love, Elaena was incredibly devoted to Sir Castan, her guardian. He was her knight and the only person she trusted absolutely. Though males were encouraged to spread their genes outside the Bron pack, Castan never fathered another pup save for their own daughter, Cordelia Stellamaris. Elaena struggled between remorse she could not give Castan more pups--and pass on her offspring. However, she soon reframed her perspective to match her own goals and outlook--Cordelia was the best of their genes and their personalities. Though she could never imagine their offspring could be weak...she also thought too many Brons could become comfortable in their numbers, and shirk their training and take smaller roles. She was a favorite of the Omenwitch. To Elaena, the pack was everything. She died of old age--not infirmity. Despite the legacy she left behind, no descendant matched her gifts.
