No I completely get you. I've been having some bad luck in breeding as of recent, and using the items seem to "worsen" the pup qualities (I know it is likely personal bias, still infuriating)

Character Description
Biography
All her life, Snow was a lone wolf, being born to a loner mother and an absent father. She lived in the mountains, and survived well there. In the fall of her first year after leaving her mother, she caught the scent of other wolves, and met a Talen pack hunting party. She returned with them, where she formed a bond with Silver Wish and became his mate, and the pack's Alpha Female. During the fall of Snow's fifth year, the pack moved from the mountains to the desert. Later, she discovered 20 mushrooms. During the spring of Snow's ninth year, the pack moved from the desert to the jungle. During the fall of Snow's eleventh year, the pack moved from the jungle to the swamp. In the summer, the Alphas produced Silver Frost. In the fall, her mate passed away in a clash for territory. The following spring, she passed her position as Alpha Female to Sparrow. That season, she discovered 10 mushrooms. In the fall of her fifteenth year, the pack moved from the swamp to the forest. In the winter, she discovered a jade monkey.

Personality
Snow is a quiet wolf, often content to chew on a bone or stick and watch the rest of her pack. When Silver Wish is bullied about by his packmates, she often does not step in to help her mate, and merely watches. That being said, when her role as Alpha is threatened, or his is, she fights back with tooth and claw. The death of her mate has left her position in the pack precarious, and she does her best to shape Silver Frost into a worthy heir so that he may lead the pack.
