Biography
Shadow of Jayfeather was Beta of his old pack. His parents Alphas, his brother, Eagle of the High Cliffs, Beta also. Jay and Eagle had never liked each other, but one day, Eagle took it too far.
Jay was teaching the pack's pups basic defence moves, the rest of the pack watching him. Eagle, snarling with rage, decided to attack.
Jay had always been a gentle wolf, and had never hurt his brother. Eagle, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. He was a vicious, violent wolf.
Eagle prepared to kill Jay. Hearing the snarling, Jay turned, and Eagle leaped. Eagle missed by inches. He landed, snarling, and leaped again.
This time, Eagle bit Jay's neck hard. Jay yelped, and shook him off. Eagle released him, his muzzle covered in blood. He attacked again.
But Jay was ready. He grabbed Eagle's muzzle, and pinned him to the floor. Eagle's violent Beta side kicked in, refusing to submit, snapped at Jay's muzzle.
Jay had to make a decision, and fast. Eagle was not going to stop until someone had died. Jay knew what to do to live.
When Eagle leaped for the final time, Jay bit his throat, and bit deep. Eagle howled in pain. Jay's eyes filled with tears, and Eagle snarled and withered, trying to break free. But he could not escape Jay's death grip. Jay whined as Eagle died, who was not giving up, still trying to kill Jay.
Finally, Jay felt his body go limp, one last snarl, and he held his dead brother in his jaws.
The Alphas came over, his mother sobbing, his father with tears streaking his fur. They gestured to the nearby wood. Jay knew what they wanted, and what he wanted. A new life.
Bidding his goodbyes to the pack, he left Eagle on the floor, and fled. He got to the river, where a very pretty young female was all alone, drinking. She was very upset, he could tell. He crossed the river, and joined her. Jay introduced himself, and she told him her name was Golden Holly.
They shared stories, and knew they had bonded. They started a new pack together. This is what Jay had wanted. A new life.
But Holly died aged 17. Jay was distraught. He had lost the wolf that had restarted his life, brought him back from despair. He couldn't lead the pack without her. But he became new mates with Autumn Fawn, who helped him lead without his previous beloved mate.
But he still loved Holly.

Jay is overly protective of his pack, and will take on any wolf to defend them. He will fight to the death if needed.
