Biography
Murlowe is the only son and second-born pup of Duke Bastion, nephew to Queen Sparrowdance. Murlowe did not know his father well, as Bastion died shortly after the birth of him and his siblings. Murlowe fell in love with the exotic Northern Beauty, Desdaemona, on a diplomatic trip to the Dragonbone Mountains. Desdaemona was a courtesan, hired to warm the dens of the icy mountain males. Desdaemona had a keen love of adventure and when Murlowe offered her another life in near the seacliffs and green riverlands of the South, she journeyed with Murlowe to his homeland. Murlowe believed Desdaemona would be his lasting mate, and that they were in earnest steadfast love. Desdaemona entertained that she might indeed return Murlowe's feelings, for a time. She gave birth to his daughter, Keeta. Keeta was in many ways her father's daughter, her appearance closely shared with his own. There was no doubt of paternity. But Keeta had a rambunctious fierce spirit, untamed and unhampered by somber reality. Murlowe cherished his daugher, playing with her like a doting father and taking her on diplomatic trips when she was old enough. While he was away Desdaemona delighted in the beauty of the Bron lands, but grew restless, finding solace in the embrace of the Commander of the Queen's knights, Aurelius. Aurelius and Murlowe had been close friends despite their polar opposite personalities. Aurelius was a bright, golden, handsome vision, dashing and exciting. Daesdaemona soon grew heavy with his pup--bearing him a son named Luanfyre. Where Keeta favored her father, Luanfyre could have been no other than his father's--with matching pale yellow eyes and golden pelt. Desdaemona's duplicity was confronted by Murlowe, but he could not find himself to be angry at her--for she was long said to be of an icy serene beauty. He forgave her and gave her the choice of returning to him or staying with Aurelius. She chose Aurelius, finding their personalities to be more attuned to one another. There was some worry that the pack would ever recover from this scandal. However, all parties involved remained on fair terms with one another. A few members of the pack harbored feelings against Luanfyre for ever being born including Cassimir, Malabus, Sunshi, and Raey--the latter two being Aurelius's own mother and half-sister. They realized that if Murlowe had pressed the issue, Aurelius and Desdaemona could have been banished from the pack, and relations with the Dragonbone Mountain pack could deteriorate. One thing the pack would not tolerate is those turning against their own.
