In the fall, he reclaimed his position as Alpha. In the winter, the Alphas produced Flurry. In the spring, Silver Birch bred to two outsiders. In the spring of Silver Birch's eighth year, the pack moved from the swamp to the jungle. In the winter, he bred to three outsiders. The Alphas produced their second pup, Cloud, in the spring. In the summer of Silver Birch's twelfth year, the pack moved from the jungle to the desert. That fall, his mother passed away. That winter, he found 10 mushrooms.
