Amber like the rest of the familly is well respected in the pack and has grown rather sheltered since her mother lost half of her pups due to tragedies like enemy packs attacks.
Even so Shining eyes made sure that her youngest pup didn't grow so sheltered that believed the world was all sunshine and rainbows.
Amber has grown to be a strong and responsible wolf, the best choice to be a beta.
