Aware of the slim threat that members of the Old Pack may one day come after the remnants of the Throne Alliance, Shilow has set a permanent guard day and night over the pack's den. It was Ice on duty the night Otis came sniffing around the food holes.
He was captured and taken before Shilow for questioning, but refused to reveal any information about himself. However, he put up no resistance, and acted very submissive toward everyone. Surprisingly (or maybe not so much), Rainy took pity on the wretched wolf, noticing his protruding ribs and disheveled look. She gave him a rabbit to eat, and he slept most of the next day through, under guard of course.
Over time, Rainy was able to draw his story out of him; a story of tragedy, of a family lost and a trust destroyed.
