Biography
Raven Shadow watched the sun sink beneath the trees. It had been a beautiful day, the sun had been out and the pups had practiced their wrestling and howling. She turned her head to see Viper Lynx sitting beside her, also watching the last rays of day slip away. He felt her eyes on him and turned his head to see his fellow warrior. Lately they had been spending time together, talking about things that had happened long ago. They were both somewhat strangers in the pack, Raven Shadow with her green and brown fur and Viper Lynx with his ability to not get hurt. They were both warriors in the same pack, both hunters and fighters striving to protect the pack that ignored them. They were both loyal beyond measure, and cared for their pack more than themselves.
A memory came to Raven Shadow's mind, a memory of two young pups running in a field. One of them was really young, a few months old. The other one was a couple years older, though still playful as could be. Viper Lynx tackled Raven Shadow, rolling both of them around in the grass. She always wanted it to be like that, the freedom of puppy-hood. Where no one though the two of them were strange or weird in any way. Where neither of them had to fight and hunt for their pack only to be left behind. The freedom of that time, that was all she wanted now, but she couldn't have it.
They were both getting older, they wouldn't have much time left with their pack. Raven Shadow looking into Viper Lynx's blue eyes and saw the puppy in him still. She smiled slightly, and looked back at the horizon. The sun was gone, they day had left, but not to compete darkness. Among the dark there were stars, among the lost there was hope, among the wandering there was joy and love. That was what was awaiting her, that's what she had looked up to every night. A sense of peace and serenity washed over her, everything would be alright, everything would be just as it is. She looked one more time to Viper Lynx and saw the same light of the stars in his eyes. This is where she was meant to be.
