Biography
Her mother passed through the Zoto territory, carrying Ruka in her jaws. Since Ruka's mother refused to take in the dark, she was chased off by Zsano and Erzso. The mother dropped the wolf pup by accident at the edge of the territory. Scared to cross over the line, with two pairs of evil eyes staring at her, Ruka's mother begs, "Please let my only pup live. And if you do, you do not have to tell her about me, as long as you let her keep her name: Ruka". Then she turned and left, not looking back to see what the wolves did to her pup. Ruka was told this story by Berdrêga, who had snuck out of the den to follow her mother.
