Biography
As the brilliant summer sun rose over the mountains, Oona was happily chasing a fly around an old deer carcass. It would daringly zig and zag across her muzzle, and zoom into the air. "How dare you defy me, tiny creature!" Oona growled. She yipped and sneezed as she inhaled a dandelion. But the fly had already gotten away. It was a stupid little one, anyway. It was beginning to heat up, so she decided to take cover in the shade. Panting, she flopped down beside her mother's belly. Her mum looked down on her. "Oona. My daughter. You have come of age." Oona was hardly listening. "To do what?" She was intently gnawing on a birch stick. "To leave this pack and find a new one." Oona opened her jaws in shock and let the stick drop on the ground. "What?" Her heart sank. "It's ok dear. All wolves have to go through this at some point." "I'm going to miss you!" She cried into her mother's fur. "I will too, my sweet pup." Oona lifted her head at the sound of paw steps. "I think they've come to get you." Her mother nudged her rump. They both got to their paws to greet the visitors. "Hello, Pack Wicked Wolf!" A large, cider colored male galloped over, tailed by a bunch of young yearlings. "Greetings, Mac Dolovan Pack." Her mum barked. They both talked about adult wolf nonsense for some heartbeats and she ignored it. "So, where's our new little girl?" "Right here." Her mother stepped aside and Oona was soon in their view. She shyly pawed the earth, feeling the gazes of the stranger wolves burning down her back. She felt them approach more closely, and when she looked up, she pressed noses with a young silver male, who was right in her face. She lurched back, but the male did so more slowly. "Hello!" He wagged his tail. "My name is Lasair." A fierce, loving energy for Oona seemed to pour from this wolf, and a little feeling stirred in her soul. It was different from the love she shared with her mother. "Hi." She yapped. "Do you want to walk with me?" He asked. "Yes." The patrol turned to leave, but Lasair stayed by her side as she exchanged one final glance with her mother. She looked fondly at her daughter and nodded. Lasair wrapped his tail around Oona as they caught up with the rest of the wolves. Oona sensed that she and this wolf would spend the rest of their lives together... and perhaps, one day, become Paw Fast.

She is timid and quiet around her packmates, and is deeply respectful of them. But with Lasair by her side, she is unstoppable and will cower at nothing to defend her pack.
