Biography
Amadeus had a conventional black suit with a white dress shirt paired with a red vest and tie waiting for him-courtesy of the maids he assumed. He pulled it on, admiring the way it had been ironed to perfection and checked himself over in his mirror. The pants were awfully crisp and his shirt was starchy. Amadeus made some poses and eventually stuck his tongue out at his reflection, screwing his face up. Tonight wasn't at all what he wanted to be doing, especially in restrictive clothing. Folding a red handkerchief, he tucked it into the breast picked of the suit and left his room, the sound of the music downstairs was already humming away and the excited buzz from the guests was very clear.
Amadeus took a deep breath, muttering curses under his breath. It was all very well for his parents to be hosting such a grand event but to have forced him to make an appearance all because they had promised several young ladies a dance with him? Amadeus presses two fingers to his temples and rubbed the frustration off his face before it was stuck there permanently for the rest of the night. On the third floor, his peripheral vision picked up foreign movement which shouldn't have been there. He stopped and turned, looking over his shoulder. It was a woman, that much he could tell but from the back, he wondered who would be this far away from where the party was. His first thought was someone up to no good which was logical, given how they were attempting to conceal themselves.
Treading carefully, he came up behind the young woman. Amadeus was going to tap her on the shoulder, but he paused, his arm out awkwardly. He would recognise that smell anywhere; he lived in the kitchen when he wasn't away in the swamp. Except, this wasn't Madam Roslyn..."Kit?" Amadeus whispered, pulling his arm back to his side before she turned around.
Amadeus pressed his lips together to stifle his laugh. "How many times will I have to remind you? While it's just the two of us, formality doesn't have a place." He did admire her for making an effort, although he could never get used to hearing her address him as such.
"Oh please tell me you brought along a square of that famous black currant slice?" He asked her, the hope in his voice was very obvious. Amadeus laughed and rubbed the back of his neck nervously, only noting now how she was without the apron. He had become accustomed to seeing her wearing it, with the amount of time he spent in the kitchen. It was certainly an unhealthy activity of his. "I suppose you're quite right, everyone does look lovely." and you look different he thought. Amadeus stepped forward and leaned on the banister beside Kit. "It would make for an interesting scene to draw..." Amadeus mused, although he specialised in his still life, so the constant movement and flow of people on the ballroom floor would have made that a challenge for him.
"Kit, I uh-wait!" He called out to her gripped her wrist. "You're not keeping me from anyone, actually uhh, it is my parents' that want me for their party. I've been asked to dance with some of the younger ladies here tonight, and so suspect that was the drawcard for most of these people. I couldn't even name half of them if you asked me to." He explained.
Amadeus' hooked a finger into his collar and fiddled with it. "Would you like to come down with me? Think of it as my way of expressing gratitude to you. The little treats I'm constantly pinching from the kitchen, I know I shouldn't but they're just so damn tasty!" Amadeus felt the heat rising in his cheeks again so he stuffed his hands into his trouser pockets.

| Personality
Amadeus is the only son of the king and queen, and so his personality sometimes reflects this. He comes across as being a little cocky, sometimes speaking out of turn and acting on impulse rather than taking a moment to think about what the consequences to his actions may be. On the other hand, despite his somewhat brash behaviour, Amadeus does consider the feelings of those close to him. He has the largest heart imaginable, but of course only a select few people are ever allowed to see that as those that do not want him on the throne will seize any opportunity to slander him, should he allow himself to show any form of being soft. Finally, Amadeus is optimistic, he's always looking to the future or for ways that he may be able to improve the lives of those around him.
Preferences
Amadeus prefers high-end garden, masquerade parties where he can get dressed up. He has a fabulous range of formal wear for these events but his favourite by a country mile is the one with a red vest and tie, rather than the standard black and white tuxedo look. He also likes his whiskey on the rocks and has a huge sweet tooth. Amadeus can be found sneaking pastries from the kitchen if his chef hasn't already set a small plate of goodies aside for him.
Amadeus has, and will always have, a soft spot for Kit. Kit is a character owned by Tolkien #87596 in which Amadeus, the poor sod; has quite literally, tripped over and landed at her feet. While he's seen as a figure of authority to some who do not wish to overstep boundaries, Kit has been the one to truely bring out this prince's personality.
Special Skills
Amadeus' special skill set would have to be his freehand sketches and drawing. He can create gorgeous pieces of artwork and specializes in 'still life' as he finds his hands just flow over the canvas or paper easily. He has inherited this skill from his father who was particularly skilled at painting portraits, many of which line the castle walls and those that his father wasn't so fond of are stored away in the cellar. Amadeus has always kept his talent hidden, since he believes it's not really a skill set he should be proud of. One might find this contradicting with his father having been a fine artist, but Amadeus and Arthur do not have the best relationship as father and son.
