Character Description
Biography
It had been a cold winter, long and freezing, the wind piling snow in front of the cave making it nearly impossible to get out. Acorn pattered gently across the snow, her belly bulging with unborn pups. As unpleased at the alphas would be that she went out, she was willing to take the chance if it meant her pups would live. A sharp pang was felt in her stomach, a telltale sign the tiny wolves inside her would be out soon. She smiled at the feeling, not minding the slight pain it brought her as she lay down beside the other pregnant wolves, letting herself be lulled off to sleep.

When spring finally rolled around, so did pups. Three new litters that were born in mid and late winter were strong enough to leave the cave. Some pups had perished due to the cold temperatures but the ones that made it out alive. Out of all the pups though, a singular one differentiated itself from the others. Façade, named for his odd pelt, was antisocial from his birth, never quiet fitting in with any of his littermates and not seeming to want to.
He was the only chimera in the pack, other than an elderly wolf named Flagstone, a white wolf with hickory markings that clearly showed his defect. Façade didn't like being known as 'The pup with the special defect', wanting to rather be more athletic, or muscular, or even withstand pain more like other wolves could. His mother did help him grow to accept himself though, her own defect making her pelt grow whiter every day as she grew older. The chimera still preferred his time alone though, seething in self-hatred and wishing he could be more like other pups.

As the years passed, the once great pack had soon dwindled in number, wolves growing more elderly and passing on. Façade took on a role in the pack, growing to be one of the most valued for his charisma and skill in battle, though he was never taken out much due to the prospect of becoming hurt. The beautiful wolf soon had to take himself for what he was, and not for who he couldn't be, knowing without doing that, he wouldn't be able to contribute as much to his pack.
