She smiled as she approached his cavern and lowered her head to drop her skull helm from her head, and once more to unhinge the metal claws from her paws. She stretched her limbs out afterwards, claws raking against the stony ground. "You here?" She asked the darkness ahead as she shook out her matted hickory fur.
Two glowing red orbs amidst the darkness flashed then, and her smile widened. She could not see the rest of him in the shadows of the cavern, but watched as the red grew nearer and nearer until the outline of his snout and head grew present. She gazed into those unrelenting red eyes before leaning her head forward to nuzzle beneath his chin. Her ears flicked as his warm tongue lightly licked in greeting. She felt the muscles in his neck stretch to lean down and remove her blade from her side. It clattered on the ground then beside them.
"Everything is safe out there now," she assured him, and both glanced towards her armor on the ground. He could smell the metallic scent of fresh blood on them, and knew that she had been victorious.
