His nostrils flared, puffs of smoke falling from nose and maw. His red eyes narrowed and lips pulled back into a snarl, revealing rows and rows of jagged, thorny white fangs. Behind him was a pile of treasures -- yellow mountains of gold bars and chips, speckled by pristine jewels and precious stones as high as the cavern's ceiling stretched. The beasts' wings stretched wide; the red tips pulsated and strobed. Smoke filled the rocky floor, originating from his open, drooling maw and wide, clawed paws until it was thick and coated the air in a heavy layer.
Then, where darkness was, fire consumed.
It exploded from his body, flames igniting from every pore. The beast charged forward amidst the flames, claws outward stretched and teeth glowing red.
