| Will I hate that they set him up to be such a great genuine character only to kill him off though, otherwise its so worth the watch! The stigma attached to the uniform is part of the reason why my dad didn’t join, and I think people often forget that there’s actual humans behind that kind of work </3 And same here, I consider myself independent and avoid politics, but sometimes when history is involved and it’s in my hometown, its harder to not have a say :’) |

| Lovely Natives, ooh! Was he deployed out there doing any sort of field stuff or was it a temporary duty station? I know some folks get sent out there as a permanent duty station and some people are just straight up deployed there. Some of my buddies are in Australia! I'm so jealous. |

| Sjuk, yeah. It's nice to be seen as a person outside of the uniform. Obviously, I don't express any of that in uniform or on behalf of my branch or anything but I'm very politically neutral- Confederate flags are just a potent symbol of some really sad stuff. ;_; |

| Lovely Natives, yep! I still serve and I signed for a contract longer than 4 years so I've got a whiles to go in the Marine Corps too. That's so cool. It's cool you and your spouse support the cause as well, hehe. I'm on a base that's joint service so I see all of the other branches. The base belongs to the Army though. |
