Biography
Idris is the former Alpha Female of the Arkytior pack. She became Alpha at an uncommonly young age, due to her mother's illness and early death and from that time ruled her pack with a firm paw. She stepped down as Alpha in the winter of Kimaris's second year, thanks to the early onset of arthritis, and remained as Beta until Kimaris's first daughter, Nal'vera, became old enough to take the position.
Intelligent and quick-thinking, Idris takes no disrespect from anyone, and can deliver a cutting remark just as easily as a swift blow. Though she demands respect from her pack members, she is nothing if not kind, always willing to welcome a new member to her pack and share food with a neighbor who is lacking. Because her pack is a large one, she stresses the importance of her pack-members being good hunters and working together as a team.
Idris' mate is Arador, who she chose for his strength and intelligence, and she loves him deeply. Together they have had three litters of pups, several of whom have gone on to join other packs. Her first daughter and eldest pup is Kimaris, who succeeded her as Alpha after Idris stepped down.
Idris is close friends with Artemis, who held a high position in his last pack, but left and joined Arkytior after several bouts of infighting lead to his mate's death. As they've reached their elder years, the two, along with Arador, have enjoyed a sort of semi-retirement, spending most of their time together hunting, napping in the sun, and complaining to each other about the younger wolves, as elders are wont to do.
Idris is also known to take the pack's pups out on "field trips" to the swimming hole, to give their mothers a break and let the pups get some exercise outside the den. She enjoys the young ones' energy and playfulness, their company making her feel younger and reminding her of her own pup-bearing days.

Prefers the warm summer months to the winter, and hates snow. Her favorite food is alligator, though it's a rarity in her pack.
