One thing Hay has learnt to read is whether people were getting annoyed with her or not. Whenever she tries to make a joke, it's either too cringey or just not the right time. A lot of cliques wouldn't accept her.
When she feels like talking to someone, she would often approach Andre. They aren't very close, but she feels like he isn't judging her. He wants to be close with him, but he has Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki always has the best things, is what Hay thinks. Even his own mother wouldn't go out of her way to talk to Hay
She's naturally drawn to the kinder members of the pack, like Nectar and Remus. They are very motherly, but again, Hay feels like they don't like her genuinely, merely tolerating her out of sheer pity.
