The most dependable of the alpha pair's pups, Perta's parents have given him more responsibility than any of his litter-mates. This especially irks Pakak and Tikaani, as they dread being compared with this "over virtuous" brother each time they get into mischief.

Down to earth -with the one exception being his secret vanity for keeping a perfect pelt.

Very sceptical. Like his mother, Little Flame, he believes only in what he smells. His father's fanciful stories, and his siblings' readiness to believe them, often elicit a snort and grand eye roll from Perta.

Very close to his mother, Little Flame, despite having polar opposite temperaments.
