Biography Brave's breath came in short gasps. She was pinned. She was her Alpha's champion, and she had lost the battle. She was going to die. The challenger had arrived only about a few minutes before. She was a medium sized wiry wolf with eyes as sharp and cunning as a fox. As the pack's champion, Brave had to accept the foreigner's challenge for leadership. Which was stupid, because the alphas were the ones that were supposed to accept. It was their pack! But no, Brave had to fight. As the champion, Brave was the most skilled fighter in the pack. So she led the hunting parties, she fought at the front of the battle, and she warded off any intruders. Brave had never lost a fight. Yet, here Brave was, pinned beneath the lethal claws of her enemies. And she was definitely going to die. Brave's heart galloped wildly in her chest. She fought to keep the tears back as her opponent opened her mouth to say something. "No. I will not kill you. This is my pack now. I am ashamed that your former leaders pit me against you. You are what - a two year old? I'm sorry for what you had to endure." Brave froze. Of all the things, this is not what she expected to hear. But, obligingly, the wolf stepped off her chest and Brave scrambled to her paws, panting hard. "No!" Everybody turned to see who dared to challenge the new alpha. It was none other than Rocky and Shadow, their former leaders. "I said no," Shadow said, stepping forward, her eyes swirling with malignant hatred. "The tradition of the pack stands. The champion who falls, dies." Brave didn't have a chance to even comprehend the words before Rocky and Shadow slammed into her, throwing her into the rushing river. Brave surged above the water, screamed, and was dunked under again.
