The subtle crushing press of leaves beneath paws is rhythmic, if hurried.
He has a goal, he has a mission and he will not forsake it - not for those, even, that possess his very heart.
"My love," Her voice bombarded his mind, over and over, repetition slowly driving him harder, driving him forward. "come back, my love." But she was not, she was not who she pretended to be and he must escape. He would drink the clear waters of truth even if it killed him. If the lack of ignorance stole his life, crushed it till it bled and emptied, then it was worth it.
"Return to me." Her voice was urgent, needing, worried, almost motherly, but there were subtle currents of lust that ran just beneath the waters of her voice. Beautiful memories gushed forward, but he cast them aside and painted them different colors. The colors their really were. Deceit. Manipulation. So many beautiful nights wrapped in lies, wrapped in falsehoods that threatened to destroy him.
Threatened.
He'd left. He'd run. He'd freed himself to chase the truth.
The truth was so much more beguiling than the lie, but it was a bitter lover. Truth pristine and beautiful danced before his eyes but when he tasted it - it burned. It burned through his tongue and into his mind. It did not drug him like the lies did. It did not beguile him like the falsehoods, it was honestly bitter and honestly real.
He was a Prince.
He would not be lured by the Witch.

Known as the Judge of the pack, Embrace Me has a forbidden past, no one speaks of it, no one asks. They only observe his rabid hunt for truth, he will push anyone to the edge to expose their truth.
His desperation is a tool, something to be used, but it is also dangerous, they say he can smell a lie, to him it is bitter and pungent, but a truth is the same - the subtlest of differences dividing them.
Everyone knows not to cross the Judge... and they never do, but if a lie is discovered they run - they run because he will hunt them and he will pry the truth from their cold deceitful heart.
