"My little Alpha's." She said carrying her tongue across the three pups that lay at her stomach. "You will all grow big and strong." She whispered to them again.
Galaxy was ecstatic to have her first litter. Her mother, when she was young, explained how you are a whole different wolf after you've had your first litter and she was right. Galaxy loved her three sons more than life itself and they barely grew up. They were all boys, and like their mother, had a beautiful dark pelt. She could tell each one of them were going to be different and they were going to be a handful but all that mattered to her was keeping them safe and warm.
Bringing them into her side, she wrapped her tail around the three quiet pups and fell asleep in a bliss that was undescribable.
When she awoke the next morning all three were missing. As panicked swept through her veins, she searched every corner and crevice in the den before leaving and searching the pack grounds frantically. She tried finding their scents no matter how faint they were due to just being born but failed. An extreme sadness and anger took her over. She kept looking and when she finally got to the clearing the sight before made her entire figure crumble. Her three beautiful pups were killed. The culprit stood over them with a sinister smile and his eyes glistening from the kill.
She wasted no time to jump upon his smaller frame and bite into him mercilessly. He tried fighting back but was no match for the angry mother. She trained all her life to kill but just as she was about to close her jaws around his neck, she stopped. 'Was this how he killed her pups?' She thought. He was hurt enough to be unable to do anything so she left him there in pain to go to her lifeless pups. A strangled cry escaped her muzzle when she took a look at them. She collapsed next to them and let out a sorrowful howl before curling them to her body and crying for what seemed like days. Whenever another wolf tried to approach she growled and they hurried away.
After this she swore to never let any wolf close to her, for she could handle herself.
