"If you fail me, I'll fail you." My Mother, The Black Demon, growled.
"Why?" I cried, my twin-sister Spirit pressed against my flank.
"That's the way I am. It's the truth. I have no useless children. If you both are my daughters, prove yourselves too me." Mother snarled, padding out of the den.
From that day on, I tried endlessly to prove myself to mother and be better than Spirit.
