Character Description
Biography
Rusty's tale is a sad one.

As a pup he had known a happy family with a loving mother and a loving father, but one day hunters entered their territory and the smell of fear wafted off his parents in a thick and heavy perfume. His father took him by the scruff of the neck and hid him deep inside a cave where the light never touched the stone floor. Once they were sure he was safe his parents took off to defend their home, and never returned.

Rusty waited, and waited. He waited for a fortnight before the growling in his stomach grew too loud to bare and he was finally forced to leave the cave in search of food. After satisfying his need for a meal, he searched what he had known to be his home for his parents, and found the territory empty, only a lingering scent betraying the appearance of an abandoned den.

He sniffed as the realization of his aloneness sunk in, and he sat back on his haunches and began to howl his sorrow.

The howls had reached the ears of three wolves traveling in the night in search of prey. King's head snapped up and his ears twitched, Alou whimpered at his side. He nodded to her and they trotted off with Ice Paws following to find a lonely pup, the scent of hunters thick in the region. Alou licked Rusty's forehead affectionately and looked at King. King pondered and nodded, and they took Rusty away from the morbid place.

Rusty was immediately accepted by the three wolves, and soon he had a new family. Ice Paws took him under his wings and taught him everything he knew.

Personality
As a happy-go-lucky wolf, not a lot of things can bother Rusty. He can always be found with his tail wagging. Even when it's raining outside, he doesn't let the water dampen his spirits and he loves to have a laugh and a good time.

Though he may not seem as playful as other, he is always in a romping around mood with high energy that needs to be burned with some good exercise.

Rusty does have a serious side though. He has never dealt with what happened to his parents, and it haunts him in the back of his mind, but he tries to keep from thinking about it and the darker side of the world he lives in, though he knows that it's present.

Preferences
No matter what, Rusty wants to maintain a blissful ignorance when it comes to the darker side of nature, even though he knows it exists and that he is just fooling himself.

Along with his want for blissful ignorance, he always wants humor in his life. To him, a laugh and a smile can go a long way.

Rusty's great at bringing a smile to anyone's face, even King's! He's a charismatic wolf, and he wouldn't have it any other way!
