Biography
Peppermint snuggled up against her mother, trying to block out the barks of the frustrated alpha.
He wanted her gone. Away he would say. Until now, no other wolf had ever agreed. But now, just because they were sick of him nagging about how unlucky she was, and how weak she would be when she got older, they finally subdued to the continuous argument.
She flinched as her mother shoved her away from herself.
"You have caused to many problems. Now go." Her mother said, her gaze cold.
Peppermint felt her eyes getting hot, and tears started to form. She held them back, she didn't want to look like a weakling.
She started to walked out of camp when her alpha, Ignatius, stopped her.
"You think you can leave without a warning?" He asked, something in his eyes that made Peppermint crouch down.
He smirked, ignoring the cries of her mother who barked, "Leave her alone!"
She gasped as he swiped a large paw AF her, with freshly sharpened nails. She could feel blood under her eyes as he went on, leaving the mark that they recognized as a weakling.
It was a star, right under hr eye.
He growled, dismissing her.
She bolted out of camp, fear masking her real scent. Why did this ha e to happen to her? Why?
Thoughts bubbled in her mind as she ran,trying to get out of the territory before sunset, when they came to kill their victims.
She sighed, exiting the territory. She went a little farther before laying down, exhausted now.
She started grooming her ruffled pelt, afraid that some wolf might mistake her for a rabbit. Even if they didn't she would be killed. According to most wolves her tail meant bad luck.
She closed her eyes, the warm summer breeze whisking her to sleep....

When the moon sets, we rise!
She lift her head drowsily, hearing that verse being chanted. She looked around, sensing that wolves were nearby. She got up and started stalking through the underbrush, when her stomach growled.
She winced, noticing that she had never been this hungry before. She wasn't a pup anymore, but she was still in training. And she was small for her age.
She smelled the aid, scenting another large group of wolves near her. Very near.
She stood stone still when she caught a glimpse of the camp, wolves were now walking around everywhere, the speech from their alpha clearly over.
She squinted, then grimaced as her new wound under her eye started to sting. She opened her eyes wide again, not wanting to feel the pain of her alpha.
She could see that a black wolf with white striped and a white tail had spotted her, and started to back away.
"Greetings little one. Where do you come from?" The fae asked in a smooth and soothing voice.
"I'm from a different pack. They kicked me out." She answered, still backing away.
"Come here, we will care for you." She said.
"I'm Fury, and you are?"
"Peppermint." She answered softly, lookin away.
She squealed when Fury picked her up by the scruff, carrying her to the center of camp where a very big male sat. He was all muscle.
"Put me down!" She exclaimed in terror.
"Don't worry, I'm just introducing you to my mate, the alpha." Fury said in a muffled tone.
She said no more as she was set down.
"This is Chestnut. If you would like to join, he would be your father." Fury said, shooting a loving glance at Chestnut.
"So you want to be my mother? But you're having pups!" She said, noticing Fury's swollen belly.
"Yes, I am. And you could be their big sister."
Peppermint smiled. "Can I join, Chestnut?" She looked down, realizing that she was going too fast.
"Yes, you may. Welcome to the Horizon pack!" He bellowed.
She smiled, the injury under her eyes not hurting quite as much anymore. She had a family. A pack. Soon, she would go back to her other pack. And make sure the alpha knew that she was no weakling. She wasn't a curse. She wasn't a burden.
"When the moon sets, we rise!"
She was a wolf of the Horizon
