Character Description

Biography
My earliest memory is of meeting the alpha of our pack, Ares, named after a god of war. As my mother's gaze shone down proudly upon me, Ares, a true Darkseeker, admired the sharpness of my claws and strong needle-teeth which would grow true to their potential and never chip.

"She is beautifully built, and she will be a warrior one day. Her name will be Bellona, the goddess of war," declared Ares. My mother tried to hide the disappointment in her face; she had hoped to name me Iris, after the goddess of the rainbow, for the numerous colors in my coat.

But as I graduated from the tiny build of a pup, Ares trained me, trying to make me into the best battle wolf I could be. But I was never really carved out for that life. I was a peaceful wolf. I would never preach the glory of kindness like Lightbringers did, but killing made my stomach twist. I would never truly fit in with such a dark pack of wolves.

So one day, when I was two years old, I slipped away into the forest. Ares had given me the skills to fend for myself, clawing away at enemies who attacked a weak lone wolf like myself, and catching plentiful prey to fill my belly.

After almost a year living out in the woods by myself, I was taken in by a Lightbringer pack, who couldn't reject any wolf. My heart is truly not as clean and bright as theirs, but I am at peace here.

But Bellona brings about ruin. Death. Destruction. Despair.

I thought it was merely a coincidental tragedy when I mistook a pack member for an enemy Darkseeker, and in fighting them, tore them apart with a simple scratch.

I was troubled when another wolf from my pack killed her own pup after sitting it down in front of me-like a sacrifice.

And I knew that something was up when I was fighting for my pack. I was chasing an enemy, and the wolf had almost gotten away. Suddenly through the trees and confusing brambles, a path opened up for me, like the Red Sea parting. I was able to chase the wolf down and give him a painful bite on his tail to remember me by. Somehow there was huge power in my jaws that I hadn't realized, and his tail tip melted off like fat from prey.

So I truly am the Bellona of wolves, holding my power deep within until the floodgates suddenly open, with huge fighting power flowing out of my claws. To be worshipped by all wolves, large and small.

But I'm okay with it. I think I'm peaceful. I wouldn't control any wolves, right? I mean, I could make them all my slaves, but I'm not going to...
