To anyone i've effected.. I'm sorry...
A small female stood alone at a snowy hillside, staring down at her former home. It was no more, it was all ashes. Umber flakes of ash fell from the sky, littering the ashen ground with ebony patches.
She was too late..
She stared in horror, what was once her home.. Was burnt down. She let her breaths come out long and strangled. Taking a step pack, her mind raced. This was all her fault.. If only she listened to her mother more carefully..
"Remember! You mustn't go near the human towns. They will follow you and kill all of us!" Her mother warned with a stern voice. The small sepia mahogany and slate colored pup nodded happily.
She shook her head, ridding the guilty thought.
"I-I'm so sorry.." She whimpered softly, disappearing into the woods. She looked around, her viridescent orbs scanning around the turgid terrain.
The small pup casually strolled towards the border, currently exploring. She happily looked over at something on the ground. Tilting her head curiously, she trotted over. It looked like the jaws of a bear, but grey. She reached her paw out towards it, watching with wide, innocent eyes. As she was about to touch it, her mother leaped in front of her letting out a low snarl. The jaws closed around her mother's leg, earning a pained yelp from the older fae. There was shouting from humans from not to far away, her mother nudged her. "Go!" She hissed. "Mama.. You're bleeding!" The pup said, her mother growled. "Go!" She barked. The pup tucked her tail and ran.
She stopped at a ledge, raising her head to the midnight sky. She led the hunter to the pack, to her home..
Shivering, the fae turned and tucked her tail. She walked to a rotting log. She crawled into it, curling up and whimpering softly to herself.
She was alone.
