Biography
The metallic stench of blood pierced the air first thing as the sun rose above the tree tops, shedding light into the dens for those whom survived to what the night brought upon them.
Most of the pack was already wide awake having not slept since the early hours of dawn due to the snarls and spine shattering commotions that erupted from some squabble. With such a drought that had bombarded the once bountiful land into a barren wasteland, it wasn't uncommon for the pack wolves to get into serious fights over the bones and scraps of the little prey they caught. The only thing they were really curious about was whose body they'd have to move out of the den site on this morning. No one was prepared.
At first, no one could locate the exact source of the blood until they traced it back up to the alpha's den.
"Great, who has he killed now?" A wolf snarled as they all gazed upon the blood stained walls and floor of the cave which belonged to Rexington. "Alpha, are you alright?" Another called out and received a stirring as a response. "I'm just fine, subordinate." A stranger's voice ring out before the sun penetrated the dark features of his face that had once been masked by shadows.
The pack surrounding the entrance were all set into a panic as they stared at the stranger, not their alpha. "Where is Rexington, Rogue?" The beta male snapped defensively. A chuckle breathed over the much larger male's muzzle. "Let's see, most of him is in a pile right there but there's a little bit of him on the walls and the ceiling, and oh, all over the floor." The Rogue answered sarcastically. "He's dead?" The Beta asked, earning a angry growl. "Yes, you idiot! I killed him and strung his insides all over the pelts he slept upon." He snarled.
There wasn't much retaliation within the numbers after receiving this news. Many were tiring of the previous alpha's reign as he was no longer looking after his pack. He seemed too scared to leave the birthplace of the pack in search for a place that could sustain wolves in such a large number which led to many talks of forcing the old wolf from his rank. However, that was no longer necessary.
"Who are you?" The rogue male chuckled at the question. "Who am I? I am Neophytes, your new alpha and I plan to take this pack into a prosperous future in a new land!" His "humble" speech earned a few snorts and heckles from the pack which angered him more. The beta male was among those who laughed. "Sorry, but you are not our alpha. It was decided long ago that if something were to happen to Rexington, I would take over, end of story." He snapped coldly. "I mean, I am the beta after all."
Neophytes glared at the younger, stupid male and lunged forward, wrapping his jaws around the beta's throat. Instead of snapping his neck as any wolves wanting to kill something would do, he kept a tight grip on his soft skin, crushing his esophagus agonizingly slow, allowing the Beta to squirm until he drew his final breath minutes later and went limp. Standing above the body, Neophytes stared among his new pack. "Does anyone else oppose my authority?" No one stepped forward.
3 Years Later
Neophytes had miraculously kept his word and brought his pack to a place that was able to sustain the pack for many generations. Apart from being the alpha, Neophytes was considered the hero of the pack and in result, he had his choice in females whom threw themselves at him, desiring to become his mate so badly. Even though he entertained their company and gave them a false hope in their efforts, he still remained mateless, his eye on a young female who wasn't even old enough to take a mate yet. Her name was Raverna, and she was only a year old and still learning the ways of the pack when she caught his attention. A year ago, Raverna was found by the beta female as they were traveling through the drought stricken land. Neophytes had never given the female a second look after the beta female begged him to let her keep the pup. Now, he had seen her in a mature manner and he desired her innocently sweet personality like a drug addict lusts for their drug.
