Her almost paint-splattered coat blended with the environment, as she raced for her life. She was almost invisible as she raced against time. She was almost one with the earth as a fury of paws closed in on her. She almost survived as the wolves surrounded her.
Almost. The saddest word to ever exist. She was ALMOST loved. She ALMOST made them proud. She ALMOST made it.
She was now gone. Gone like the dying light of the sun as the day ended. Gone like the dying breeze in the fall. Gone like the warmth of the summer during winter. But... she would return as everything else did. She would return stronger than ever. A ghost could revert to the flesh, she was sure of it, especially after HE saw her.
