I teach kinder through 6th grade! Since I sub day to day It's always a different class. I do like working with the older kids though cause I can be more real and direct with them haha. No need to beat around the bush, I can just straight up tell them "what are you even doing" instead of being like "oops, I think you made a bad choice!". Though I alose like the younger grades cause they're ususally so loving and sweet. I love when they hug my legs and tell me I'm the best haha

I get what you're saying. I have to drive it, so it feels just like time wasted. I tried getting into audiobooks but I felt sleepy listening. I'm trying to find a job closer to home but it's rough. Enough complaining from me though lol, what grade level do you teach?

I'm usually up early when I sub, it's just that some days are so tiring that I just hit the hay once I'm home. I'm lucky, I have may off-ish, I have jobs here and there but I start work in june through august in a daycare (since schools are closed in summer lol). I used to have super long commutes too, I get the feeling! I read a lot in the bus tho or I studied so I wouldn't "loose the time" (idk how to phrase it in english)

I'm in the US. 6pm? I'm jealous! I go to bed usually around 10:30-11 and I'm up by 6 for my current job T^T I did the math, I'm at work (including commute) for 11 hours a day

I don't know where you are, I'm in Canada so I know the teaching situation is different than in the US. However, as much as I love it, it's quite challenging. It's not always fun nor easy, but sadly I can't bring myself to hate it haha. I find it super rewarding to be able to teach the kiddos but sometimes I go to bed at 6pm after a subbing day haha

Character Description
Biography
Son of Zorren a runnerbeast tamer and Ayisila. His mother, as well as himself and all of his siblings helped care for the beasts that their father tamed. From a young age they were taught not only how to care for them, but also how to ride them. This is something that he has always thoroughly enjoyed, but that's because he usually prefers the company of animals to that of humans. The animals at least would not say anything about his eyes being mismatched, as many a person had. Some of the remarks he had heard over the turns, especially not that he was older, hurt. It was not anything he brought up however, because there was not really much of anything he could do or say.
The cothold his family runs is beholden to Ruatha, but they claim absolutely no kinship to the lord's family. Therefore cannot claim the boast of many Ruathians of having many dragon riders in the family lines.
Of his family, he is the first to be sought out in search, much to the surprise of his family. It made them all proud though, that he would be wanted to stand on the sands of the hatching grounds. At least, it made his parents proud, but his siblings were all rather jealous of him. What child did not dream of finding a lifelong partner on the hatching sands? His youngest siblings though, because of their age, didn't understand anything other than he was given an important opportunity and needed to leave to follow it. After packing up his best gather clothes, and two changes of work clothes as he had been instructed, he said farewell to his family and left for the weyr.

Personality
Often quite, he isn't one to waste his words. If a nod would suffice, that is what he will do. It can be hard to get him to string together more than a sentence. It is not that he does not have ideas or thoughts, but rather either keeps them to himself or waits for a proper time in which to voice them. Being he has several older and younger siblings, he knows how to be patient. Being part of a large family was where and how he learned such patients. Modest and humble, he never has tried to put himself above another. To him everyone is important, no matter who they are. If he notices anything amiss, he will do his best to correct it, if he is able.

Preferences
Appearance: Left eye is hazel, the right eye brown several shades darker. At a glance it is difficult to see. However, women, artists, and usually men whom find themselves attracted to other men often being the first to pick up on this. Hair that is dark brown. Which is cropped close for ease of care due to having many chores to complete in the day. Usually wearing a hand me down tunic and breeches, but none so worn out that there are holes. A belt around his waist to help keep his breeches up, with the usual belt knife on it and the belt having a simple belt buckle. Work boots adorned his feet made of wherhide to help them last long. They were actually a bit bigger than they needed to be, but that is so he has room to grow in them yet. Weighing in at one hundred twenty pounds at five feet four inches, and not yet done growing. Slightly on the scrawny side, being more of a gawky teenager, he is only just beginning to fill out with muscle.
