Instead, depend solely upon yourself. And try not to let yourself down."
~Adeon believed this saying whole heartedly. That is, he would have. But he didn't have a heart. And so this was impossible.~
"It was true. The great Adeon did not have a heart. That had been...replaced, years ago. 5 years ago, to be exact. The day his parents had died."
~The memories rushed over Adeon like a flame. The scream of his mother as the shifter cut her throat. His fathers roar of rage as he began to attack them. Adeons father was a strong man, and the shifters soon lay in a heap of bodies on the floor. His father had died a few days after from injuries the shifters had inflicted. As Adeon crouched weeping over his fathers body that horrible day, love had been torn from his heart. A monster had taken refuge in that small space, consuming his mind. The monster made him do things he would never have done before his parents death.~
~2 years later~
"Adeon tensed and waited for the man to make a move. His body suddenly started to quiver as the moster sought to control him. Adeon fought it, as he always had. The monster made him do things that he always regretted. As always, the monster won in the end. Adeon collapsed to the ground and let out a pain filled shout and he began to shift."
~The huge white wolf lay still on the forest floor, breathing rapidly. The white ears came to life, perking up and swiveling around. Next his nose began to twitch. It brought the scent of something nearby. Kill kill kill.
The thought ran through the great wolfs mind, and his red eyes snapped open.
