Plot Salem, an anthropomorphic wolf comes to town. Well, you come to him. Salem has long since hoped for a world where humans, animals AND any in-between being could all live in peace together. Humans haven't been very.. accepting until now. He's crafted a home and welcomed in stray fellow foxes, wolves and all other anthro people that came looking for a place to stay! These strays become like family for Salem, and he hopes it's the same for everyone else there. Peace is all he wants, all he's ever wanted and it seems like that's all everyone wants. He even accepted a few humans into their little abode. The anthro beings are always on guard around the humans, tensions still high and past burned bridges only beginning to be rebuilt. The bond between them is only just getting perfect, absolutely perfect. The anthro's have finally gotten accustomed to the humans when one night a fire was lit through the forest they called home. It ravaged the trees, burned the leaves and left everything charred. Fortunately, Salem's home was only half destroyed when they come back to check the damage. It was heartbreaking, of course, for everyone there. They blamed the humans, who else could have done this? It happened during the night, the perfect time to ambush! Salem calms them down, for the moment. They've decided to turn the home into a small hotel so they can raise money and maybe, just maybe the humans will learn that there can be peace between them. Little Explanation of How Everything Works: We will not be hotel staff until we get to that part of the plot.

The bus comes to a slow halt and a couple others get up. Sebastian reaches overhead and grabs his bags. Two to be exact, just the clothes he had, and a picture of his mom and Aunt. He missed them, but he was off on another culinary adventure. Moving off the bus, he looks around the Bus stop. Realizing this was the wrong stop, he was about to stop the bus but it already leaves. Sebastian goes over to the ticket house, but no one was there... Great. Leaving the bus stop, he carries his bags down a dirt trail. Maybe there was another town with people there, or at least an open bus stop. As he walks down the trail, he saw this house with a light on. Please be someone friendly. The area was nice, cozy... but the weather was not. Sebastian was not a cat for the heat, even though his family hailed from Africa. His grandfather was a king there, then his father, and Sebastian was supposed to. Although he wanted to explore the world and discover it's culinary secrets. Making peace with his father, his cousin became the next King. Walking up to the front door, Sebastian knocks on the door.

Sasha Toca | 27 | American Cockroach | Mentions: Sebastian (indirectly) Kshhhhhh, the bus sounds as it comes to a slow stop, lowering down before the double doors at the front open up. "Last stop," the driver announces over a crackling radio speaker. "Go to the ticket booth if you need to transfer," he added in. People, a mix of humans and animalistic humanoids, start to rise from their seats and scramble to grab their bags and whatever luggage they might have on them. The bus was relatively full, almost every seat taken, except for the ones next to and in front of Sasha. This is not a surprise, nor a first time occurrence. Sasha gets up, and scoots out of her row and reaches the door of the cubby above her. Clicking it open, he grabs a rather full duffel bag and a backpack. He puts on the pack, and swings the duffel over their shoulder using the long strap. Sasha was seated near the center of the bus, and had to waddle past some people getting their things to exit. They could hear the murmurs of some folks, human and animal alike, and caught glimpses of disgust. Her antennas were previously hovering around lightly, smelling the area, but now he kept them still and tucked down to avoid someone being touched accidentally or, heaven forbid, someone yanking at them. After what felt like an eternity for a 40 second stroll to the front of the bus, they bid a thanks and farewell to the disturbed driver before exiting. Sasha came here without much of a plan, having been laid off from their previous job. Which was an hour away by bus. They were laid off two weeks ago, and had tried to find a new place to work. They obviously weren't a sous chef then, being stuck on sauté instead since the head chef didn't like them. They have a degree, having graduated from culinary school, but being a bug that wants to cook professionally is not something people seem to like much. Considering Sasha is here, in some wooded place at a bus stop with no idea where else to go, they might as well follow wherever this dirt trail by the ticket station will take them. Walking down, Sasha couldn't help but take out their phone and snap a few pictures. The way the sunlight beamed through the trees was too beautiful to ignore. Finding wildflowers of the prettiest purples and pinks was another highlight of this rather long walk. Not many people like weather like this, but Sasha did. Summertime is one of their favourite seasons, next to Fall. The weather is great, at least when it isn't humid, and it's especially admirable when in the wild. Not to mention the smells. Sashs's antennas were explorative, waving about and taking in all this amazing sensory information. After a good 5 minutes or so, Sasha began to see something peaking up over the trail: a house. Sasha was now a little nervous, thinking perhaps he was walking down a private road. But, arent private roads usually marked as private to prevent trespassing ? Sasha knows that much. Giving it a bit of thought, she decides to continue down to the house. As she approached, she slowed down. A lion was present by the front door of the place. The owner, perhaps ? But he had luggage. Visitor maybe ? Sasha kept their distance, being a good 15 or so feet away from him and the house. He decided he would wait, and see what happens before approaching.

Mai | F | Mentions: Sasha , Sebastian - Mai's earbud fell into her lap as the bus came to a stop. Pausing her music, she picked her earbuds and phone up from ontop of her bag and hurried to get herself together. Stuffing her things away, she couldn't help but feel nervous. This was the first real home she had had; everything else had been owned by her mother. Her cruel, foster mother. But that time was over. A fresh start, a blank slate. - Briskly standing up and straightening her skirt, Mai slipped past humans and anthros alike, making her way to the front of the bus. On her way, she spotted a roach. Realizing that Mai couldn't get past them, she swallowed her disgust, ducked past the roach, and whispered a small "Excuse me, coming through here." and offered a small smile. Finaly out of the mess of people, Mai stopped at the edge of the forest. Tilting her head to the sky, she let out a sigh. A happy one. Free from her foster mother at last, Mai had never felt so light. She laughed when she imagined Mrs. Cabell reading the note on her empty bed. Straightening her backpack, she set off into the woods. - Sunlight fell onto her head, the sweet sounds of songbirds rang in her ears as she wandered along a narrow, winding trail that led her into the forest. Leaves crunched under her feet as she rounded a corner. A few minutes passed, still no sign of the house she was supposed to be aware of. A anthro wolf lived there, and they were supposedly friendly. Thinking about whether or not to try and find them, Mai almost didn't see the small house on the side of the path. With a lion standing infront of it. A huge lion. Fear sparked in her chest. Slowly, she walked up to him, not making any noise. Stopping just behind him, Mai politely waited for the door to the house to open. Edited at November 6, 2023 03:55 PM by Mai

Knox Blackwell | Melanistic Snow Leopard | Mentions; Salem (ind) Knox had arrived earlier, a full day earlier. He had been tired by the time he came upon this house, today was manageable with the heat but yesterday it had been unbearable with his thick fur made for snowy areas. He had been dazed when he knocked on that door, heatstroke gaining some grip on him. He had been regretting his choice to travel so far from home up until that point, he heard walking coming from inside the house. The footsteps were heavy, not likely human. Perhaps another animal like him? Definitely not another snow leopard, he hadn't spotted any more of his species on his travels, it must've been too hot. They must think he was insane! The door finally opened, coming snout to snout with Salem, a very intimidating wolf. Salem had welcomed him, despite looking as though he was going to turn him away. Knox Blackwell had spent the night and half the next day with Salem... they even became sort of..friends? It was absolutely too early to assume such things but Knox couldn't find another word for it. He was welcoming, friendly and had a certain charm about him that made you insantly want to be friends. There was knocking at the door when the clock ticked 12. Knox had previously been laying on the couch of Salem's house, when the knocking began his tail flicked in annoyance and he sat up. He heard Salem call "Be friendly!" and the creak of the front door opening. Knox put on a smile, yet he didn't come to the door. He simply stayed on the couch, assuming Salem would invite them in. He brushed himself off and waited. ~ Salem | Wolf | Mentions; Knox (indirectly) & Sebastian (directly) Salem had woken up bright and early, well... he hadn't slept more than one hour. He wasn't used to having visitors, he loved it but he wasn't an experienced host or anything. He would do his best! He was a friendly guy, so hopefully nothing could go wrong, right? He had made breakfast for the two of them, Knox and himself, a simple eggs, bacon and toast meal. It was a thing he had learned from humans as he grew up, he was one of the isolated wolves as a pup. He only really knew his own "pack", humans were only showed aggression by them.. which was understandable because of the things they had done but Salem wished to be different. He only wanted peace, he was built like a warrior with the mindset of a peacemaker. He had been clearing one of the rooms for Knox, the snow leopard that he had taken in. He had a few rooms, yet nothing too big due to not expecting too many guests. He didn't have a huge social life. He had dusted off everything, made sure the closet was free and made the bed. He was just finishing up when there was knocking at the front door. Salem put on a giant wolf-like smile and his tail wagged a bit, it was just like a happy dog. He realized what he was doing and stopped himself, he wasn't a dog.. he kept his tail out of the way as he walked towards the door. Just as he came up to it, he had a quick rememberance of Knox and called to him just in case, "Be friendly!" He then proceeded to answer the door with a charming, "Hello there!" He was met with another anthropomorphic animal.. this one was a lion.

Leslie Rowan Heneldin | Albino Leopard | Mentions: Salem (ind), Others (ind), Open! ~ The bus had suddenly come to a stop and Leslie had just woken up from a nap that was who knows how long. The commotion of the humans and other anthros trying to get out of the bus had given her quite the fright at first. They sat patiently as close as she could to the window to give the rest of the guests a chance to get out of the commotion. Well, they might as well get their luggage ready. Leslie stood up and reached for her bags and her suitcase which were strapped to a small landing on the side of the busses wall. They grabbed their essentials and scanned for a possible way to sneak into the crowd of people. After waiting maybe two or so minutes she started getting impatient so they decided it was the best time to sneak into the crowd and try to make it to the door. Leslie weaved through the ruckus of the crowd until she made it to the door, squeezing through the door they made it out with all her bags. She dusted herself off with her pale hands and looked up, the woods stood in front of them. There was apparently a house in there? After about ten minutes or so, Leslie found themselves on a path on a hill, where there seemed to be quite the decent sized house. From what they had been told, it fit all of the descriptions! She found herself walking a quicker speed and finally making it up to the house. There already seemed to be a few anthros there, how delightful! It seemed as though they were being let in by a wolf...ah, right! She remembered now, there was supposed to be a wolf that led this production. Leslie followed the trail up a bit more until they reached the door along with the others, a smile was plastered on her face as they looked around at everyone. There was quite the variety of anthropomorphic animals here already, what seemed to be a cockroach, another wolf, a snow leopard, and a lion. How fascinating!
