It is and it isn't at the same time. XD

It's definitely a less contrast-y but it's not too low contrast that I can't see.

I'd love for the white background to be just a touch less "in-your-face"esque but I'll take what I can get.

Information:

Generations after generations the Druids have dominated through bloodshed and queer customs. A nomadic pack that travels with the elk herds and follows the stars of their ancestors. A sacred pack following a strange structure and customs that seem to work within themselves. The tradition of ‘kill or be killed’ is woven into the pack after generation teaching the youth hard and cruel. The pack has been known for the cruel and merciless ways to outsiders and anything else that isn’t their own. The alpha’s that started the Druids started the custom/law of the pack. The first rule of the pack of the first eldest son of the alpha pair will be groomed into the next alpha. And the rest are customized into their own category that fit in within the pack. These rules were made to keep the pack in order and to survive the rough conditions of their ways. It’s up to a wolf to conform to them or treason..

Plot:

After the deadly winter that the Druids has faced. The journey to their spring home in the frigid temps and following the elk herds that were miles ahead. The alpha male has passed due to his old age at night. His alpha female died two seasons ago in the summer in the process of delivering their last of youth that quickly perished after her. The only offspring of theirs was a young female at the age of 4 who has been left to rule the pack. A female that was secretly groomed to become the future leader of the pack. Though some do not believe this and some side with this promising leadership.

Though this is not all, the young female alpha will face prejudice to take a mate or lead a fierce pack. A wavering sense of an illegitimate brother to her’s is started to arise as a rumor.. Is it true or is it propaganda to overthrow her.

Though outside of the pack is a new struggle coming soon…

Is blood thicker than water?

Can a great leader be female or male?

The threat is closer than we think..

Will the pack come together or shatter?

First Post/ The Day

Weather:

The day will begin with a light breeze and sun coming back with little strength. It has begun to wake up from the long winter before. Spring is here with birds coming back louder than ever. The flowers are starting to sprout or bloom. The morning it will be a little chilly at 50 degrees fahrenheit. The day will progress to the highest reaching 70 degrees.

The Camp is located at the bottom of the mountain nearly everyone has their personal den that can fit 4 wolves in each. The alpha and beta den are located in the back on a perch that the inside is decorated with elk pelts and flowers.

Its rocky terrain at the heart of the home, the wolves go through the treeline with a dense forest. The elk herds reside to the East in the meadows and plains of the territory.

The lake is located in the west with soft sand to caress the wolves' paws underneath.

What’s Going On:

The day of the Alpha and Beta ceremony will be held today since the previous Alpha Osiris has passed in the late winter on trek back to their spring home. The wolves will be awaking excited, nervous, infuriated with the new alpha.

The shaman and beorns will be taking some shakiras to the lake to decorate the beach for the ceremony. The Akashi’s will be taking the shakiras for a hunt for the ceremony. While the Alpha and Beta will be getting ready for the ceremony with one wolf of their choosing. They will be getting ready together in the alpha’s den.

Malakai will be finding supporters for his regime against the alpha..

The high rankings will press Alari for her path to find a well built mate to be at her side.

Roleplay:

Please allow two posts between your next post. Exception is multiple characters

No female wolves should have pups or be expecting due to Osiris not allowing.

Do not control other people's characters

Run all plots, wolves getting injured, all that nine yards by me

Alari | Alpha | Female | M: Open

Alari watched the back of the new den with anxiety and a new form of fear for her new future ahead of her. She was uncomfortable with her new home to wind down and relax from the day before that. Her parent’s old den was empty, but filled with her memories that made her choked up just thinking of the joyous memories. Their death was so new to her, but she has not had the time to fully process it. The sun will be up in any minute and she has not slept a wink due to the ceremony that would be held for her and Sikúnguak to be the official alpha and beta. It may be exciting for the male to be appointed to the position, but she knew he was the wolf right to be at her side. Though she was weary of her own and paranoid as a female taking charge of The Druids. No female has ever taken the position to be the alpha of the Druids due to the patriarchal ways of her pack. A way that would break history and shatter the well-built customs that have come before her. She may have received the alpha training under the nose of the rest of the pack’s nose, but it did not matter to them. She cursed her way of life and most importantly her gender that would never have gotten into this mess. Everything would be new and lurking through this uncharted way of becoming the next druid alpha.

The sun was beginning to rise from the east and the sun’s glow was peeking through her den’s entrance. Her ears pinned to her small head in a way of her nerves and guilt that was gnawing inside her core. She could not believe that it would be today and soon the wolves would be buzzing around the camp. The beach would be decorated just for her and her best friend to take their place to run the Druids. Though Alari knew it would not last long, because she was not stupid. Alari knew wolves were pitted against her and could see it in their eyes and tone of voice that it reflected her new position. Alari was better at masking her emotions than the rest of her pack, but it did not mean it pricked her heart knowing that she caused this revolt. It wasn’t like her to cast her fury on the wolves that do not understand. The wolves could say or think negatively about her and about her position leading this pack as a female, but it will not strike her down. She has a nastier complexion of herself that she has to battle that hurts her more than what wolves that do not understand her or why she was chosen..

She didn't even know why she was chosen. Was it her empathy? Was it her kindness? Was it her reserved nature? The ancestors chose her for a reason.. Everything happens for a reason, but why her? She thought to herself with guilt and curiosity mixing in her head.

Her fur was starting to shed the winter pelt that it would start to show her unknown scars that many think is almost how she was born. Though it was something darker and how she was able to get on top. As females were shown that males were stronger. She had to battle her own father that was worthy to reign. Her face already shedded out that showed the eerie four scratches on her right part of her face. She sighed with a deep reminder of why they were placed there, but it would not be what others would think. She wanted them covered for the ceremony to hide the ghosts that were gonna be a part of the ceremony.

She reminded herself, To ask Sik to cover them for her, she did not want to touch them.

She did not need any more reminders than she needed to be today. Her eyes drifted to the entrance to close her eyes, picturing her parents and she could see her mother that was almost a direct image of her, but she had her father’s eyes. A light amber that was enchanting, but could turn cold within a second. She knew that most likely she would speak to her father in the night as her ancestors would speak to her. She will be warned or blessed or be shown the prophecy that gets passed down to the alpha of the druids. That must be kept a secret for her to decipher on her own. As alpha’s could not decipher it before but each new alpha will make it their life mission to understand it.

The peaceful morning will be interrupted in a second. Though her peace and lonesome will have to choose a wolf to help her prepare. Though she would rather be alone to gather her thoughts and think well to think. It was funny to Alari as she was always surrounded by a wolf, but she was more alone by others' company than by herself. She laid in her den awaiting for the series of events to unfold.

Crag | Omega | Male
Crag opened his eyes and saw the light coming through the cracks in his den's rock wall. He woke up and moved slowly, trying not to wake the aggressive wolf beside him. He yawned and padded out of the den. Today's the day. He thought. He stretched and padded over to the kill pile, grabbing a large yet delicate rabbit, and padded over to his alpha's den. He dropped the rabbit just beside the entrance, looking around to see if there was a beorn around, then called out to his alpha. "Alpha!" He barked "I have breakfast for you. Would you like me to come in?"

Weak beams of sunlight filtered into my den, casting their rays onto my face. Squinting against the light, I forced myself to get up and get on with my day. I stretched, yawning, as I rose to my paws. I shook bits of my bedding out of my sleek black pelt before poking my muzzle out of my den to assess the current situation. The sun had barely risen over the horizons edge, the sky a dusted violet with hints of lighter blue. From what I could tell, most of the pack was still asleep. Or not asleep, but still in their dens. I couldn't see anyone in the clearing just yet, but there were shadows and hiding places all over the camp, so I probably missed something.
Still feeling a bit drowsy, I pulled my head back inside my den and slowly turned around. I wandered over to the back of my den, checking that my herbs and other remedial items were in their respectful places. They were. Satisfied, I was about to step out and into the world when I noticed something. A bright red scrap of- something. I furrowed my brow as I inspected it. What is this? I sniffed it, thinking. It was a bright red maple leaf. Oh! I remember. I put this here to remind me that the ceremony for the new alpha and beta is today. I groaned. I didn't want to deal with anything 'special', today of all days. Crushing the leaf under my forepaw, I stepped out of my den; halfway at least. It was a bit too cold for my right now, during dawn. So I left my hindquarters and tail inside me den, while my chest and head remained outside. Breathing in the crisp morning air, I closed my eyes a bit and waited for others to wake.

Sol | Akashi | Male
Sol woke up to the dawn of light peeking through the boulders of his den. He yawned and stumbled up to his legs. He started grooming himself until he heard a voice come from outside. Hmm. Must be Crag. He thought. He yawned and flopped back into his nest, to finally start remaking it. Needle there, moss there. Once he was done, he finished grooming his sleek black pelt and went out into camp. He glanced over at Alari's den to find Crag sitting there and waiting. He padded over to see what was going on. "Crag," He barked. "What are you doing?"
Crag's slim body looked tiredly over at the Akashi. "I got this rabbit to give the Alpha." He said cautiously.
Sol stepped forward and inspected the rabbit, looking for any signs of disease that might have been in there, before the rabbit was killed. "Fine," he huffed. He turned away and started to walk to the pile to get himself some prey, only to notice Xiomar slightly outside his den. "Morning," he barked and dipped his head. Is there anything you currently need?"

Aatya of Druids

"Wavering,
the threads between treason and loyalty
grow weak."
- - -

Aatya | Akashi | Female
@: Open

- - -

Sleek dark fur with a midnight cerulean sheen gleamed against the daylight as it's bearer sat alongst some warm rocks, swiping her tongue over her paw with delicate, gentle strokes like a bird might preen it's feathers. Muscles rippled underneath her tapestry-patchwork coat, flexing with every swipe of her head. Her ears, pointed and aware of every sound, worked to listen and take note of each and every conversation occuring around her. They weren't her business -- yet -- so she wouldn't work to actively participate in them. She was content sitting pretty amongst the warm rocks above her own den, sharpening her claws and smoothening out her fur.

Who was this magnificent creature? My, well, that would be Aatya.

Her eyes, sharp and keen, skimmed over the likes of the camp and all the light that touched the earth. Yes, her camp. She didn't think it maliciously -- obviously, as a female, that dream was even further out of her reach than Alari's. But rather, the Druids were just as much of her jurisdiction as the other Shakira. Yes. That was her justification for those thoughts. And it satisfied her enough to earn the slightly smirk under the shadow of her muzzle, only to fade with the wind as her nose picked up the scent of one all-too familiar.

"Facilis," Aatya's voice rang out over the rocks as the dark male slinked past, his expression one that read as grim. Whatever could be the matter with him? Aatya, to be quite frank, didn't care all that much, but she was rather curious, "cheer up, dear, you're frowning again."

Facilis shot her a foul glare, before pinning back his ears and shaking his head. Within a second, Aatya watched as he put the mask back on, swiveling to face her with a shit-eating grin that rivaled that of her inner ego. If wolves had eyebrows, Aatya would quirk hers.

"Always curious on what I'm up to, Aatya," Facilis snickered, tilting his head, "are you trying to suggest something to me, beautiful? Because I--"

A bone went flying through the air, spiraling in arcs and smacking Facilis directly on the nose as Aatya snickered, exhaling sharply as she slowly rose to her paws. The bone being from the carcass of a pheasant Aatya was snacking on. When Facilis swiped away the residue of the marrow, he returned to look back up at the Shakira, but she was now sitting up, raising one paw to gesture away.

"Go make a victim out of another female," Aatya said, her tone polite despite the harshness within her words, "and stop assaulting me with that aweful stench of yours. A bath would do you well."

Facilis stared at her, his ears pinning back again. They locked eyes for a moment, with Aatya positively amused and Facilis less than satisfied. Whatever. Aatya knew he should've done better. Nobody outwitted Aatya with a mask -- her's was the most elusive of them all.

"Get going, Facilis."

As if she had commanded him -- though she did not -- Facilis began to skulk away into the trees, leaving Aatya on her own, still positioned above her den. She decided that she had enough preening for the day, however, and stood to the fullest extent of her height with a mighty stretch, pushing out her paws further away and yawning into the crisp morning air. It'd be a long day, and bullying Facilis was always an easy way to make it better. Omegas were too easy.

Why would it be a long day?

Tradition was being ravaged before Aatya's very eyes. And by a wolf that had abandoned Aatya in her greatest time of need, nevertheless. She exhaled slowly through her nose as she began to descend the rocks that were cradling the entrance to her home, the bushy length of her tail following in suit as she landed upon the level ground alongst the others of the pack. She offered one glance toward Alari's den, but merely looked away to go seek entertainment elsewhere.

Alari hadn't entertained her in a long, long time.
