I struggle with anatomy in my art, and feel like knowing how to do it better would help improve it a lot, so I'd love to hear some tips on how to better improve my anatomy! (I do use references!)

Okay so what I do is draw circles as joints or as general shapes. And between them have lines as guides. Also reference photos. I can not stress how useful they are.

Agreed! I use shapes a ton whilst drawing, and simple lines to give you an idea of where everything goes is super helpful as well.

I take images/photos of whatever animal I want to work on and trace over the shapes, then after I get the basic shapes I move the image to the side and turn it into a rough sketch with more features. It's helped me a lot
