theres this member who joined today, and their wolves are already really really upgraded already. they didnt buy them. is there another way to upgrade wolves??

What do you mean by upgraded? That player could've customized their their wolf with apples to get higher rarity/talents. Or they could've bought character points with bronze figurines in barter. If they joined today, they probably bought apples with real money.
