Recon | Beta | Male| M: Doji & Kiran When he saw Kiran sprint off, Recon couldn't help but push off his back legs, thrusting himself into a sprint. For a second, it wasn't about hunting, he just wanted to feel free. Feel the wind whip through his coat and the dirt beneath his paws. To feel the long grass brush his legs and to watch butterflies scatter when he bounded through a patch of wildflowers. For a moment he could imagine he was a carefree pup again, able to play and chase his sister. He could pretend time hadn't passed and he didn't have to constantly worry. It was a feeling he desperately missed, one that wrapped his heart up in a vice grip in the rare moments that he let go. The feeling of being carefree was one that he longed for, and when he got to hold it, even for a moment, it always brought him down when he came back to reality. A rustle in the grass. The scratch of claws against hard packed dirt. A new scent that flooded his nose. Recon skidded to a stop, his lithe body dropping to the ground, eyes and ears becoming trained on the spot the smell was coming from. His muscles rippled beneath his pelt, bunching up and relaxing as he crept along the ground, trying to stay downwind from whatever it was. Step by step he grew closer, determined to bring something back. Feathers, browns, tans, grays, and whites, a reflection of the colors mottled in his own pelt. The bird hadn't yet seen him and a small smirk appeared on his black face. One second...two seconds... Pounce! Recon sprung off his back legs, and lunged at the turkey, the bird let out a weird squaking sound as it tried to take off flying and alerted it's flock. It was almost too bad that it hadn't noticed sooner as Recon's powerful jaws clamped down on it's neck, almost instantaniously killing it. As the rest of the flock fled the area, he trotted back over to the group and set down his catch, nosing it towards the others. That was when Recon noticed Kiran's rabbit and nodded approvingly, "Between the rabbit and this bird, we should have enough for all three of us."

Echo/Subordinate/Female/Mentions: Merlin She nodded then was off sniffing the ground and tracking down the smells. Ears perking before she saw a rabbit that she quickly chased and caught it. She found another rabbit and the chase was on. There was a bird circling a head making her eye it as she continued her hunting and tracking. She found some birds as well which joined the pile of food. "Got some food", she told Merlin pointing to her pile of rabbits and birds. Tiltering her head, she tried to think how much food is enough. Eventually she found another small animal. As she chased it though she wondered why Merlin was staring at the cave. Edited at November 5, 2024 07:31 PM by Feiella

Anubis | Male | Subordinate | M: Lidiya and Deverick He watched as the half siblings interacted. He settled in his spot unmoved of Lidiya's empathy. He didn't even say anything to Deverick. If anything he just stayed away from the bond of siblings. Merlin | Alpha | Male | M: Echo and Night He looked at Echo's catches with wide eyes. The girl was feeling it. She needed to be let out of kennel before she destroyed it. Her hunting was great and was needed for the pack. He looked almost proud of her.. Though he won't say it in front of Night.
He barked "Let's look into this cave. I wanna see it if it would be suitable for us. The pack.." Doji | Female | Subordinate | M: Recon and Kiran She barked "Great catches." She looked at Recon and Kiran with a stoic gesture on her face. She knew if she didn't eat. She would hear Recon's protest. Not exactly what she needed at that moment. She ate some of the bird. She looked at them and barked "Eat. I think I found some type of dens or atleast shelter.." She slowly went off to the direction of the shelter looking for any signs of life along the way. (decided to get them all out of the way.. It sucks.)

Recon | Beta | Male| M: Doji & Kiran Recon quickly finished the rest of the turkey before padding after her, he took a couple lopeing strides to catch up to her. Her shift in behavior from just this morning to now, got Recon a bit worried. He wondered what had changed that forced her mood to shift from sarcastically playful earlier, to now dismissive. Had he done something wrong or was it just that she hadn't forgiven Kiran. Glancing behind him, he flicked his tail, motioning for Kiran to follow behind him. "Did you find old fox dens? Or what did you find?"

Kiran/Male/Subordinate/M:Doji Recon Kiran Hesitated Before eating the rabbit he wondered why Doji had no appetite tho he didn't complain and quickly ate the rabbit he did notice her change of attuide but he didn't give it away, he noticed recons signal and followed him he was also curious. He shifted uncomfortably as they walked the trees were so incredibly tall it made his eyes stare in awe his forest was something else even if he had the mindset of a 4 month pup he knew this would be a great place even for the long haired wolfdogs of the pack. Was there any big predators, challengers?, suitable homes? He thought worriedly picking up his pace his ears were perked up in alert watching out for the other two. It was rather weird he wasn't goofing off but actually behaving and being smart, He hesitantly sniffed the air incase they're was anything nearby with intent to cause harm to them. He stopped sniffing and kept up with the others he was also incredibly curious to what Doji found hopefully it could fit 10 or more wolves.

Timber - Male - Subordinate - Mentions: Jeraboa, Sable, Star Nodding his thanks to Star and Sable, Timber crouched down to his rabbit, realizing just how hungry he has. He sweared he could feel the food hit the bottom of his stomach, though his was full by the time he finshed; he didn't need much, but just enough to satisfy himself. He stood up, lapping his tongue over his jaws. The wind brushed through his fur, and he shivered. Though he liked the feeling of wind flowing freely in his fur, he also hated it. He liked the shade and overhang of the trees, and he could see the blurry outline of some trees far away. In the opposite direction that they were walking. Timber shook the thought away. The important thing was that they needed to find good places to make camp. Or a home. Or anything, really. He sat down again, fixing his ruffled fur at his shoulders as he awaited Sables orders.
