Hello, do you have any specific plot line or ideas for a plot?

I apologize for being gone, family issues. ~ Any plot ideas? Not entirely sure. I know you mentioned enjoying magic, medieval, and animal centered RPs. So let's start there. ~ Oh! I have an idea! Are you familiar with any of these three stories? - Beowulf - The Odyssey - Journey to the West ~ All are interesting tales about long journeys through magical lands full of Gods and Monsters. Maybe that's where we can look here? :D

I've heard the base story of Odyssey, and heard of Beowulf. However, I am very into Greek mythology and might be more detailed. But great idea!

Huzzah! Beowulf is Nordic Myths, if you have read Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, or played Skyrim there is lots of similarities. ~ Journey to the West has lots of Chinese philosophy involved such as Taoism. This is where many conventions for animes actually come from surprisingly. I mean, one of the characters is basically Goku. ~ Anyhow, Greek Mythology. Any ideas on a plot? A myth we could pull from? A Greek tragedy or comedy to adapt?

Hmm, very interesting - I love making bad guys good guys and vice-versa, so what if Hades was the only "good" god, but people still think he's evil? Other than that, love Sparta and the sphinx. - Have you read Daughter of Sparta? It's a very good Greek mythology book. Edited at February 10, 2022 10:07 AM by Dark Moon

I like stories which flip the Hero - Villian dynamic too. Though I never really thought Hades evil, every story I've heard of him he always just gets the short end of the stick. The poor guy had to give his dog to Heracles just so his nephew could do one of the twelve labors. So we can start here for a plot... ~ Sparta has interesting stories too. The whole 300 battle with the Persians. The Peloponnisian War is one of my favorite historical conflicts. ~ Sphinx was Egyptian I though? Well, both were close in proximity so maybe they had similar cultural ideas. ~ I never read Daugher of Sparta. ~ Oh! I have an idea for a plot! Our characters serve the Greek Gods. Either due to them being demigods or regular mortals who serve their patron Gods, they embark on a quest for them. Basically the Peloponnian War is in full swing, Greece a war torn waste as Spartan and Athenian clash... And all the Gods blame Hades. It's only logical, the more death, the more his Kingdom grows. Our characters could be a Spartan and an Athenian, forced to work together to solve the conflict between both Greek super powers by journeying to the Underworld to convince Hades to stop the war. During the journey we can encounter various mythological figures like monsters, gods, other heros, stuff like that. Along the way we begin to learn the Gods might not be who they truly are... Once we reach the Underworld... According to out mutual liking of the trope, the culprit for the war is not Hades. Everything else is a mystery from there. :D

Who is your favorite god? I like Athena, Artemis (though lesser after I read Daughter of Sparta), and I love making Hermes the nonexistent father

My favorites? Hephaestus, his origins are something I can't help but pity. Everything about him feels sympathetic, and I can't help but wish good things his way. Athena, I like to think of myself as smart clearly she is the Goddess of Wisdom and a few other notable things. I respect that. All the other gods have serious flaws I can't really not ignore, asides from Hades. He seems to be getting the short end of the stick as much as Hephaestus. But everyone loves Hades, where is the originality? I never read Daugher of Sparta, so not sure what Artemis did to garner your lesser view, but surely it's bad.
