I do. Maybe stray dogs(?) were taken in to a pound as you suggested, but were rescued by a group of canines. After wandering for weeks, they come across some sort of sacred forest. Maybe a pack of wolves could think they were some sort of gift sent from gods (?) That's it, I'm tired.
