Don't post unless you are Dawnforest or Haunted Hills. This roleplay is about two tribes of flying cats at war. Might put more her later. Each month at the new moon the two tribes meet for a peace summit at a clearing in between the territories. Edited at January 20, 2024 01:45 PM by Dawnforest

Name: Storm ~ Gender: Female ~ Age: 4 years ~ Role in Tribe: Hunter and Warrior (Credits to me) ~ Personality: Storm is a very seclusive cat and tends to be on her own and do things on her own. She will rely on her tribe if she needs help though, even if she won't admit it. She is known to be a bit stubborn but still friendly if broken out of her shell. ~ Strengths: Hunting, staying warm - Weaknesses: Warm weather, swimming, greener areas than her home ~ About the Tribe: This feline's tribe is known as the Mountain tribe to put it simply since the cats' main home is high up in the mountains. These cats are known to have thick pelts that range in the colors of the mountain range. Their thick fur allow them to stay warm but also add padding to their paws to walk on top of the snow and to sneak up on prey easier. Their pelts also act as a small layer of armor against the teeth and claws of other cats.

Feather was sat in one of the aviaries. A large den with loosely woven branched at the entrance so the bird or birds couldn't escape. This one was home to a particular stubborn young American Kestral. He was grey with darker speckles and would not listen to any of her commands. She sighed as the young bird faces his head away from her. She would try again tomorrow. It had been two weeks since she started training him and there was little progress. Feather fastened the entrance branches behind her as she left.

Up high in the mountains a dark colored female feline stalked silently through the snow. A hare soon darted out from a bush and the cat's attention immediately went to it. She stalked towards it and the creature was not aware of the danger it was in. Suddenly the feline lifted her wings and flapped them downward to help propel herself forward to snatch up the hare. The creature had no chance against the quick feline and soon fell limp. The dark colored feline snatched the dead rabbit by its scruff and lifted off into the sky and towards a cluster of rocky caves. She then entered a larger one and placed the hare in a corner. "Great job Storm," a fellow winged cat said to her, "that should feed at least three of the youngsters." Storm nodded at the other before stalking off silently.

Feather took off from the aviary tree. Hopeping there might be some prey left. When she got to the prey pile their was a few scrapes of fur but not much else. Unlucky once again. A few loose blue feathers fluttered to the ground and she took the the air once again. By this time of day their might be some prey near one of the streams. Feather dove in between the branches of the jungle trees. She liked hunting in the jungle part of the territory. It was much easier to ambush prey here then in the plains or the small section of oak and pine forests in the Starling Tibe territory. She spread her wings and flew up above the tree line. Quickly spotting a stream, this one looked to be a natural border between the jungle and the plains. She flew down closer to the water, there a small rabbit had wandered from the safety of the tall grass.

Storm stalked out of the main cave and over to a smaller one that she barely fit through. After walking through a long tunnel it opened up into a wide cavern with padding made of moss on the ground. The dark colored feline made her way to the moss bed on the far side of the cavern and flopped down. The jewel around her neck shifted slightly and the feline used a paw to move it back to its place. She recalled getting the gem when she gained her roles as a hunter and warrior for the Mountain Tribe. Every cat got a gem that signified their role. Gold for leaders, green for medics, blue for hunters, red for warriors, and white for scouters. Any mixture of the colors meant you had two roles. Purple meant the cat was a hunter and warrior, teal for herb gatherers and part time medics, brown for battlefield medics, light blue for cats that scouted out areas of high prey, pink for cats that scouted out the battlefield. Cats would gain their gem when they finished training and proved their worth in the tribe.

Feather tucked her wings in and dove. Spreading them out at the last second. Her claws tore into the rabbit's fur and it fell limp. She grabbed the rabbit in her jaws and flew back to the camp. Back at camp she enjoyed the rabbit. It was more than enough but she managed to finish all off it. She burried the bones and decided to rest on a branch and wait until the second in command, or otherwise known as the second, organized patrols.

After a few hours of resting, Storm stood and stretched before stalking out of her cavern. One of the higher ups looked over at her and approached. "Storm," the higher up says, "could you join our hunting party?" "I already went hunting earlier Cliff," she replies to the tom, "why do I need to come again?" "Because we are going to try and grab some pray from the mountain base," Cliff says to her with a stern tone, "now are you coming or not." The darker colored feline nods her answer to the higher up and the two and a few other cats lift off into the sky before turning to fly their way down to the mountain base. "Grab as much as you can," Cliff calls to the group, "the plan is to get in and get out before the other tribe realizes." The group nods they all dive down into their own areas. Storm immediately finds a couple squirrels and attacks two of them before also snatching up a robin. She piles up the prey nearby as she tries to find some other smaller prey.
