Hélios Vieyra Male | 17 | Human | Nickname(s) | Lio - Pronounced like Leo | Sexuality | Heterosexual | Appearance | Standing at a towering height of 6ft 5in, Helio views the world quite differently. Meaning he sees the tops of just about everyone's head. He is extremely fit, as working out is his addiction. Call him a narcissist. For this reason, Lio's back muscles, biceps, chest, abdomen, quads, and calves are muscular and defined. His body resembles that of an upside down triangle. Broad shoulders and a slimmer waist. He has obvious veins that line his large hands and arms. His large hands are rough and calloused. Due to his Greek heritage, he is naturally a medium tan. The man has clear, blemish free skin. Helios' facial features are sharp and defined just like his body. He has hollow cheeks, paired with high cheek bones. His jawline sharp, with stubble. Having broken his nose on a few cases, leaves it slightly crooked. Before, he had a straight ethnic nose. His eyebrows are thick and angular, but have a good shape for his face. They also seem slightly unkempt. His eyes are rather hooded, adding to his intimidating looks. He has thick, long, curly lashes that line his hooded eyes. Having Greek in his blood, meant strong hair growth. The male has striking fiery amber eyes. The type that strikes fears into ones heart. He has rather plump rosy pink lips, for a male. Lio has very prominent dimples, but they seem to never see the light of day, as he doesn’t smile, or laugh. Lio has a full head of jet black hair. His hair texture being soft curls. His usual haircut is a messy, curly fringe, thats slightly overgrown. His hair seems to style itself on top of his head, as he doesn't actually have to use much product for them to look perfectly tousled. Although it does tend to fall into his eyes. He has his nose and ear lobes pierced. He keeps a thin small hoop in his nose and small diamond studs in his ears. (No tattoos at the moment) He has many scars that litter his skin, as well. The most obvious one is the scar like slash that goes over his left eye. It cuts into his left eyebrow, leaving a scar instead of where his hair is suppose to grow. He tends to wear three silver rings and a silver necklace with a unique symbol. | Personality | The kid is very reserved. Likes keeping to himself, but not the head down kind. He'll be an asshole right out the gates. Even to complete strangers and completely unprovoked. He doesn't care who he pisses off, as he's quite arrogant and will take on just about anyone. Doesn't matter if they are triple his size. Although, it does help being a bit of a giant as there aren't many out there that are larger than him. Lio's a bit of a narcissist and will use his skills and good looks to his advantage. He's extremely good at reading people. He knows he intimidates people. Many factors of his life have made him emotionless and numb. Numb to death, misery, torture, whatever it was, it simply made no effect on him. If he ignored the problem long enough maybe it would go away. The male has a hard time expressing anything at all, other than anger of course. He lives everyday with a deep scowl plastered on his handsome features. At times it seems the male is incapable of smiling or laughing. Lio refuses to let people get close to him. He'll push people away, even if they are genuine. He doesn't talk about his personal life to anyone, leaving nothing to the imagination. People around him simply assume the worst about him, as he holds a pretty bad reputation. Hell students begin to make things up about him, to expand his already unpleasant reputation. However, he doesn't mind at all. They can talk all they want, but they only ever do it behind pad locked doors. Lio doesn't let people walk over him, or get away with things. | Strengths | - Physical strength - His determination/Hard worker - Street smart & book smart - Versatile - Confidence | Weaknesses | - Is reckless the majority of the time - His stubbornness/won't ask for help - Has PTSD that can be triggered at times - Lacks patience - Inability to work with others | Likes | - Drinking/Smoking - Working out - Sweets - Adrenalin inducing activities - Working with his hands | Dislikes | - Mess/Clutter (Kind of OCD) - Overly bubbly people - Others complaining or whining - The heat - Gifts/Surprises | History | Helio was born in Samothraki, Greece. A small island just off the coast of Greece. Growing up, all Lio knew was poverty. He was bounced around from the island to the mainland of Greece, Spain, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Ukraine, and his last destination Russia. At every country he arrived to he ended up staying with either extended family or "friends of the family." With each country came a new experience, either that be good or bad. Lio worked a wide range of odd jobs, some legal others not so legal. Each one left him with a new found skill. Most useless knowledge. Something he will never use in his life again. Along with learning many new trades, Lio learned many languages. He wasn't fluent in most, but could get by with what he knew. He was only truly fluent in Greek, Romanian, Italian and Russian. Since he is fluent in Russian, understanding other Slavic languages such as Ukrainian, Slovak, Bulgarian, and Serbian were made easier to speak, as well as understand. However, as time passes his understanding of these languages dwindle. He does tend to practice his Greek and Russian though. Being tossed around from place to place, Lio never really got a sense of home. Only really sticking around at a location for a few years or even a few weeks. His final destination was the United States, where he then learned English. Having only just arrived off the boat, his Greek accent has yet to leave his deep voice. The only way to truly describe Helio's wild life is to imagine living through 60 years worth of events in the mere 17 years he's been alive. Edited at March 20, 2023 05:07 AM by Ylva

Alexandria Ranayuda Female | 17 | Human | Libra Rising | Nickname(s) | Alex, Ale (ah-leh), Lex | Sexuality | Heterosexual | Appearance | She has a typical Chinese-Indonesian look, small eyes that disappear when she smiles, warm-pale skin tone. Wavy and short black hair, soft and fine, normally not a single strand out of place. Dark eyes that look black in most situation, yet will appear golden brown when the sunlight hit it just in the right way. Despite her best efforts, teenage hormones give her some pimples. She has that clean look and an almost customer service-y kind of smile: disarmingly friendly yet one can't help but wonder if it's simply hospitality. Most would say she is good looking, leaning towards cute than drop-dead gorgeous. Small mouth with plump pink lips, even when she is not wearing lipstick. She wears a pair of round glasses with metal frame. Standing at 5'5, she has a little bit of body fat as she lacks athleticism, but can't be categorized anywhere as overweight. However she has a lot of baby fat on her cheeks, making her seem chubby on portrait selfies. Her proportions make her look taller in pictures—long limbs, not much curves, and small head. She has beautiful dainty hands with long fingers and impeccably manicured short nails in clear gloss, perfect for playing the piano. She likes wearing branded rings with simple design that she shuffles around on weekly basis. | Personality | Alexandria has that typical personality of the first daughter—high achieving, secretly worries if she is doing good enough, trying to keep up with the expectations that her family and especially herself, have created for her. She is not popular by nature, but she tries her hardest to fit in and somewhat figured out what makes people happy. Despite wanting to connect with people, Alexandria finds it difficult to actually let her guard down and truly open up with others. Her people-pleasing tendencies has made her terrified of conflict, and she would rather ghost people than risk unpleasant exchange. That being said, Alexandria actually loves conflict as long as she's not directly involved. Why? Because she loves being peacemaker. It makes her feel useful. She accept responsibilities with no resistance and matter-of-fact attitude—it is now her reality, something she has to fulfill. Some would call her teacher's pet. She likes routines and a lot of stability in her life, even in her relationship with people. Delayed gratification is key for her. She worries a lot about what people think, yet is also secretly arrogant, comparing herself to others and often thinking she's better than them. She lives a busy life, living down the path her parents have set for her, and secretly longs for freedom yet her sensibilities prevent her from pursuing it. Therefore she admires the rule-breakers, secretly living vicariously through their antics despite trying not to be associated with them. In her fantasies, she can 'fix' them. | Strengths | Book-smart Seeming naturally harmless and therefore trustworthy Good listener Diligent Humble Reliable | Weaknesses | People-pleaser Conflict avoidant Often overworks herself Reserved Weakness for bad boys | Likes | - Music, particularly chill music - Classical piano - Bad boys / bad girls, basically adventurous people who lives outside the box - Massages, especially hand massages - Pleasing people, getting liked and accepted - Good food - Calm environment - High-end places | Dislikes | - Mess / clutter - Debbie-downers - Irresponsible or impractical people - Cheap looking places / things - Being nagged | History | Alexandria was born with the golden spoon. Sole heiress of her family's construction company, all she knew was the finer things in life. Her grandfather was an immigrant and built the company from scratch. Her father was the impulsive sort, a dreamer, who refuses to take over the company's reign. Instead, in an attempt to forge his own path, he was involved in a lot of get rich quick schemes in exotic countries, losing the family tons of money and causing rift with Alexandria's grandfather and her mother. Growing up, Alexandria barely saw her father because he's always off on an adventure somewhere. Her mother always spoke venomously about her father and Alexandria believes her. Alexandria never had much time for friendship outside school. Her schedule is always packed with tutoring lessons of all kinds and she usually only gets home by 9 pm, does her homework, then goes to sleep. She is, however, free on the weekends and likes to go golfing or visit some fancy restaurant. Edited at March 20, 2023 11:24 AM by Jawa Supremacy

The sun had barely just come up from it's slumber. Spreading it's bright rays across the earth. The day had just started and Hélios was already sick of it. He'd kill for a smoke, or a drink. Neither of which that was within his grasp. Currently, the tall male was getting shoved into a patrol car, by his parole officer. His most recent night endeavors were not the most legal activities. As the car door was slammed shut, Lio couldn't help it. "Fuckin pig!" He cursed into the empty car, staring daggers at his parole officer through the tinted window. Shifting his weight, he tried finding a comfortable position in the rather small car. Small car for Hélios at least. To other people it was a regular sized car that left them plenty of space. The handcuffs stopped clinking as he found a decent position. Glancing around, his head brushed the roof of the car, a familiar glare playing on his handsome features. As, Joshua, his parole officer, climbed into the driver seat, Hélios glared at him. His eyes flamed, as he stared at Joshua through the rear view mirror. Daring him to look him in the eyes. The male knew he intimidated Joshua. A grown armed man. Hélios could almost laugh at the thought. Holding up his large hands, the cuffs clinked quietly, "This is overkill, Pig." His voice was deep and velvety. A thick accent seeped through the few words he spoke. It was overkill. Lio already had a ankle monitor. He cocked his head slightly to the side, as Joshua refused to look at him. Only sneaking a glimpse at the large male in the back of his car. Joshua cleared his throat, "It's for everyones safety." There was uneasiness in his voice, as he started the car and began driving. Lios scoffed in annoyance and dropped his hands into his lap. A glare stayed on his features the entire drive to the high school. The drive was rather short, as the male didn't live far from the school. As they pulled in, one could see the school crawling with highschoolers. Lio stared forward, bored out his mind already. This court order was really bringing him down. He got lucky and got away with just parole. He could have easily been thrown in jail and tried as an adult, but he wasn't. It was pure luck. He had a reputation with breaking the law, yet never got locked up for longer than a solid week. Call it luck. He definitely pulled the poor, foreign kid card a few times. Joshua parked the car and quickly exited to let Hélios out. The male stood up to his full towering height as he stepped out. Jamming his hands in the direction of Joshua, the officer was quick to take them off. "Get to class." Joshua murmured, as if regretting saying it out loud. Lio sucked his teeth, as he glared down at him, "Suck my dick." He spat, as he shoved past. Confidence oozed off the male, as he made his way into the school.

Alexandria's day started at 5 in the morning, as always. The early bird gets the worm, as the saying goes. Her room was clean, almost clinically so. The maid made sure of it right after Alexandria would leave for school in the morning. Clean white sheets, perfect white walls. She turned off the electric scent diffuser on the dresser by her king-sized bed. The room smelled comfortably like vanilla cake. She walked to her studying desk, organized neatly, by the window overlooking her family mansion's flower garden. She opened the blinds and take in the morning scent. The sun was not out yet at this hour. Alexandria double checked her desk if she had left something. She packed up her bag last night, but she made it a habit to be sure. She took off her night mask and entered the bathroom, then waited about 5 minutes for the warm water to fill up the tub. She would spend exactly half an hour in the bathroom. It was one of the only times she got to relax during her waking hours at school days and she cherished that time. It would ruin her day if something were to prevent this ritual of hers: laying down in the bathtub filled with warm water, mentally reviewing her day prior. She actually put a clock in the bathroom so she could check the time during the bath. Five minutes before 5.30, she got out of the bath and washed her face with anti-acne facial foam, then onto her morning skincare routine. She scrunched her nose in annoyance at the pimple on her cheek, it's healing but now it looked dry with some dead skin not completely falling off yet. She could feel another pimple growing on her chin. Had her nail been undone, she would have gotten out of bath five minutes earlier. She wore sunscreen, applied powder to not look greasy, and lip gloss. By 5.30 she got out of the bathroom and wore the school uniform already laid out by last night. She went down to the first floor and arrived at the dining room at almost the same time as her grandfather and her mother. The housekeeper had prepared their breakfast in advance. "Good morning," she greeted them. "Good morning, Lex. How's school?" Her grandfather replied, already opening today's news on his tablet. "It's good, Grandpa," she replied, almost automatically. Every day was the same anyway. Almost as if on cue, her mother asked in turn. "How's your lessons, sweetheart?" "I'm keeping up with it," Alexandria replied, offering a piece of meat to their shih-tzu, who had waited with her tail wagging by the side of her seat. "I'm doing well! My tutor said I'll graduate with top grades at this rate." "That's amazing, sweetheart," her mother replied warmly. "You didn't sleep too late last night, right?" Alexandria grinned, guilty as charged. "I forgot the time and slept at 1. I'll try to sleep early tonight." Her grandfather shot a stern glance at her from under his glasses. "The key to productivity is by keeping one's body healthy." His gaze then softened. "You've worked hard, Lex, but don't fall sick again." Alex smiled as her mother planted a kiss on her forehead. The real conversation started afterwards, her grandfather speaking about the economy and how it affected their company, her mother talked about her day before. The breakfast ended by 6. Alex brushed her teeth and hopped on the car by 6.10. On the way to school Alex opened her book, reviewing the lessons they will probably cover this day. She always sat on the front by the driver, Carl, and tried her best to respond to his conversations as she studied. She explained to Carl when he started working for her family about a year ago, that she was listening to him even if she seemed occupied with her book. Carl understood, and frankly, Alex had a feeling that Carl simply wanted to talk regardless of her actually listening or not. Her grandfather and her mother each drive their own cars. They arrived at around 7.15 every day. Today was no exception. "Thank you, Carl. Drive safe," she said as the car left. "Suck my dick," she heard someone said in a thick accent as she made her way into the school. The voice was easily recognizable, and a hint of a smile brightened Alex's expression even if she didn't turn around to look at the owner of that voice. This morning was perfect. Taking his time, he wandered the halls. The goal being to waste as much time as possible. He wasn't late quite yet. If anything he was on time. That was only because now he was forced to be brought to school by an officer. They had eyes on him at all times. Frankly, he was surprised they hadn't sent him to classes with an officer breathing down his neck. It wouldn't have mattered either way, Lio would have found a way to ditch the cop. They might drive him to school, but that didn't mean he would actually attend his classes. Hélios had only been here for a about a year and half now, but he managed to make quite a reputation for himself. He's probably the most hated individual in this entire school. The boy was proud of himself, because with that hate he was also the most feared. Just glancing at someone made them flinch, it had to be the most satisfying feeling for Lio. He was untouchable. Having most a stuttering mess when speaking to him. Hell, he had staff scared of him. Walking the halls wasn't an issue for him. Many scurried out of his way, at just the sound of his heavy boots thudding against the floor as he walked. Maneuvering his way through the halls, he went out a side door. Making it to the back of the building, he leaned against the brick wall. It was his usual smoke spot, this or on the bleachers in the field. Pulling out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, he lit one. Placing it between his rosy lips, he closed his eyes for a brief moment. It was quiet in this spot, as there wasn't much traffic of students. Releasing the drag, it turned into a puff of smoke around him. The boy in a way looked emo. Although his tan complexion was a contrast. Wearing all black clothing. Such as a hoodie, t-shirt, and ripped jeans. His black military boots to match. A silver chain on his jeans, matched the silver rings on his fingers. As well as his necklace, and piercings. His head hung low, as he took another drag of the cigarette. His eyes lingering on the ankle monitor that was wrapped around his right ankle. A female voice pulled him out of his thoughts, "I thought I'd find you here." Lio looked up at the familiar voice. His usual glare unmoving, as he watched her walk up to him. Steph, a petite blonde. Lio was very close to her. Not the kind of close one imagines though. The kind that simply uses one another, except the thing between the two was very one sided. Steph always pursued Lio at every chance she could get. Lio was simply not interested. As she reached him, she stood up on her tippy toes, and placed a delicate hand on his chest. Lio dodged her attempts by tilting his head to the side and removing her hand form his chest. He glared down at her pouting face, "I'm not in the mood." He snapped, jaw clenching. Steph looked upset. As one would be if they were curved like that. All Hélios wanted in the moment was to be alone, but no someone just had to bother him. He huffed, as he pushed away from the wall. Chucking his unfinished cigarette to the cement ground. "Hélios, wait." Steph called out, but Lio ignored her and continued on his way. He rubbed his jaw in annoyance, the stubble rough on his hands. Having arrived early, the bell had just finished going off. Students back to scrambling to get to their classes, yet even in their hurried state they still avoided running into Lio. Taking the longer route to his class, he arrived just as the halls were clearing up. Opening the door, he didn't bother looking at the teacher. Everyone was sat down in their spots, Lio made his way to the back of the classroom. He slumped his large body into the chair. The teacher continued speaking, Lio simply zoned her voice out. Alexandria heard the thudding of Hélios' boots, easily recognizable, and particularly because of how the students grew silent in his presence. Without looking back, she imagined Hélios making his way through the same halls she was walking in. Black boots. Hoodie. Ripped jeans. She was thrilled just thinking about it. Someone who's brave enough to break all the school's dress code, and yet was powerful enough to get away with it. She wondered where he had been last night. Certainly not nose-deep in homework as she was. Does he ever do homework? It seemed like he didn't need to. Hélios footsteps grew distant and with it, life returned to the halls. Everyone was now chattering away, but still in a hushed tone when talking about Hélios. But yes, they definitely do talk about him. "Lexaaaaaa!" A female voice pulled her out of her thoughts, or rather, yanked her out of them because Alexandria was pulled into a huge, warm hug. Alexandria reflexively tensed up as a chubby girl's big boobs pressed against her arm. "Amel, good morning." Alex whipped out her practiced, pleasant smile, almost in self-defense. "Goooooood morning honey! You look so cute this morning! What's this smell?" Amel inched closer to sniff Alex, and Alex mustered all her willpower to not flinch away. "Vanilla. You like it?" Alex asked kindly as she stared down at Amel, who's a bit shorter than her, yet probably had twice her vitality. Amel had huge expressive eyes and a seemingly square face shape, big luscious plump lips, and peerless alabaster complexion. "It's too mild for me," Amel mused, finally letting go. "You're cute, though, so it suits you." "You're really beautiful too, Mel." Alex said placatingly. She truly thought that Amel was beautiful, especially with how expressive she was, the polar opposite of her. Alex definitely envied those double Ds. However Amel was self-conscious about her weight and tried to cover it by wearing oversized, layered clothes, making her look frumpy. She also had terrible posture, always hunching. "You're just saying that. Anyway! Did you see..." Amel lowered her voice scandalously, "the lion?! He came in a cop's car this morning! I heard that..." Alex subtly pulled Amel along to enter the classroom. Once Amel started talking, Alex knew she wouldn't stop until the bell rang. Alex sat down on her desk at the front and opened up a seat for Amel next to her, even if she knew Amel would move to the seat in the back. "...robbed the Tiffany's and it took ten officers to catch him. Can you believe that?" "Totally!" "Right?! He's super hot, but super scary. I wouldn't be seen anywhere around him. It's gonna ruin my reputation." What reputation? Alex thought to herself. Amel was not one of the popular kids, mainly because she tried too hard and came off as obnoxious. Because of her curvy body, and how easily and openly Amel develop a crush on people, somehow she gained the reputation of being a slut despite not ever hooking up with anyone. Alex knew that herself, despite not being in the popular group, had better reputation than Amel. Her reputation was good. She was the top student with a bright future with reasonable and collected demeanor. Also she was well-dressed, even if her choice of outfit was always "safe". "Yeah, he's scary! But didn't you have a crush on him before?" Alex inquired, and Amel's hands quickly covered her mouth. Alex truly disliked the excessive and sudden touching, but she didn't say anything. "Shhh! Dark times, dark times." Amel rolled her eyes. "But who wouldn't, right? That tan skin and godly cheekbones. He's like a supermodel. That big nose—you know what they say about men with big nose. Also..." Amel's voice was a little too loud. Alex moved uncomfortably in her seat. "Calm down, calm down," she said, gesturing. Luckily Amel heeded her and lowered her voice as she continued her gushing over Hélios for the next five minutes. "Teach is here!" Someone announced from the door. Amel jumped out of her seat and moved to the seat in the back. "Bye babe!" Most students favor the back seats because it's far from the teacher—but Alex knew the teacher actually barely glanced at the diligent students up front. Alex felt tension leaving her body as Amel left. If she could choose, she'd rather not be seen with Amel as it's hurting her chance of hanging out with the 'normal' kids—but she didn't have the courage to push Amel away either. "Sheesh, we can't even get a peaceful morning," Rhea, another top student, moaned from the seat behind Alex. "She's so energetic in the morning," Alex smiled apologetically to Rhea. Rhea scoffed. "Goody-goody. I know you hate her too." Just in time, the teacher walked in. Perfect excuse for Alex to not respond to Rhea's accusation. Everyone got seated and the teacher was about to start when the door opened. The class was hushed faster than the teacher could ever make them. Towering at the door was Hélios, with his frightening expression, dressed exactly as Alex imagined him earlier. He didn't even bother to acknowledge the teacher and made his way to the back. Alex, again, did not turn her head to look at him after he left her peripheral vision. Her heart thumped loud in her chest. A mixture of fear and excitement. The thing about this school, is it is required students to wear a uniform. Over Hélios dead body would he put the suit like uniform on. They may be able to force him to attend school now, but they couldn't force him to put the uniform on. Hell, Lio didn't even have the uniform anymore. He liked to say he "misplaced" the clothes. It wasn't an accident. The school wasn't a private school by any means. If it was, Lio would not be attending. He didn't have private school money. He didn't really care where he went to school. It wasn't like he'd actually go. Well, unless he had his own private driver. Funnily enough, Hélios was very intelligent. Of course, no one would know that. People assume that adolescences that have a record like Hélios, are unintelligent. Thats where they are wrong. People love to assume things about people they know nothing about, simply because they aren't fond of what activities they may be doing. School would be a breeze if he actually did the work. Except why would he do that? In all honesty he didn't care if he didn't graduate high school. What good would it do him? He wasn't normal. He wouldn't go about pretending to be someone he wasn't. Having a 9 to 5 job, a family, etc. was not in the works for him. If he really wanted to he could scare the teachers into giving him passing grades. That wasn't hard. People were like puppets to him. He could have just about anyone on their knees for him, if he wanted to. As he entered the room, Lio did in fact notice the silence that fell upon everyone. He could feel their prying eyes on him, as he walked the short distance to his desk. It was a mix among the students. Some it was with lust, others jealousy. That was just a few. People were easy to read, at least to Lio they were. He knew peoples intentions before they even knew. When he first arrived, people only wanted to be his friend because he was tall, dark, and handsome. For a little while, he was in the popular group. Then he got bored of their dumb drama. He may have slept with a few too many girls, and a few of the guys weren't fond of that. It wasn't his fault if they threw themselves at him. He wasn't going to keep tabs of who was who's boyfriend or girlfriend. He fought a lot of the "boyfriends" and won. They can stay mad. He'd burned a lot of bridges with many groups and people. Even the so called "bad kids." Those kids bad rap was nothing compared to Lio. Apparently, the things Lio was capable of were too much for them. He'd scared them off, just like everyone else. So in reality the male didn't have friends. He never let anyone get close enough to him for that anyway. Always pushing people away. Mostly because it never felt genuine. They always wanted something from him. Either they'd talk to him for a few days and finally dump their true intentions onto him. Most of the time they wanted him to beat someone up for them, or get them illegal substances. Real soon after came his reckless activities. He wasted no time in going back to his own ways. Every night was a new adventure. A new endeavors into the night life. Lio was a junkie when it came to adrenalin filled activities. He had a strange obsession with every waking day being his last. He had a long list of crimes under his name. Hell, every police station was aware of Hélios Vieyra. He was on everyone's radar, but that didn't stop him from his nightly activities. Lots of people knew of him, except there was a vast differences between the people who saw him in the day time and the ones who saw him at night. It all just depended on who they were. The crowd he hung out with at night were very fond of Lio. If one were talking to parents, they'd more than likely scold their kid for hanging around "people like him." Lio could walk into a market and the building would clear itself out. Half the time, it wasn't because they knew of Hélios, but because of his exterior. The teacher went on about the current curriculum and assignment due dates. Lio was sprawled out in his chair. He made the desk look small, with his hulking stature. He began spinning a pencil in between his fingers. Every word the teacher said went in through one ear and out through the other. That was until his name was mentioned. "Alexandria, you'll be partnered up with Hélios." He slowly dragged his intense gaze to the teacher at the front of the room. The teacher tried to hide it, but she sent an apologetic expression towards the girl. The partnering was randomized, as she was pulling names from a bowl. He couldn't see her face from where he was, but his eyes dragged over what he could see of the girl. He didn't quite recognize her. Funny, how the teacher really believed he'd do an ounce of work now that he's forced to work in a group. Once the teacher finished reading off the pairs, the students started getting up and finding their partners. Lio made no move to stand up and approach the girl he assumed was Alexandria. He leaned back in his chair and continued spinning the pencil, that would not be used, in his fingers. Lio didn't even own a backpack, or much needed school supplies.

Hélios was in a completely different world from Alexandria. To be seen and admired, but not to interact with. She established this two weeks after Hélios' arrival took the gossip world by storm. Alexandria might have fantasized about Hélios too many times. If someone in this class must be categorized as a slut, it would've been him. That kind of thing, Alexandria couldn't do. And not because she was pure, no, she was full of hormones and full of dirty thoughts just like everyone else in this class. She had a few guys confessing to her, and she knew several that would occasionally glanced her way a little too long. It was because of she wouldn't risk her future. Girls have everything to lose, compared to the boys at least. If she was to play around, it would be once she had made her own money. Yet, there was no harm in fantasizing. Hélios seemed like he would sleep with anyone who throw herself at him. Heck, Alex had heard rumours of even guys bragging about sleeping with him. For such a wild card as Hélios, Alex didn't think it impossible. Many times she pondered if she would just go up to Hélios and ask him to sleep with her, would he? It was exciting. She daydreamed about talking to him sometimes on her way home from her tutoring lessons, and maybe... It's not so exciting now that she needed to actually talk to him for that 30% grade. Alex listened intently to the teacher as she explained about the project and even got excited. Making a podcast! She quickly made a list in her mind about everything she would have to prepare, how she would split the task with her then undecided partner. There was so much to prepare and Alex had hoped to pair up with someone cooperative and diligent. Rhea was sharp-mouthed but she was almost as diligent as her. Amel would be a bit hard to work with but at least she's enthusiastic and would make the perfect host. She never expected it to be Hélios. Heck, she didn't even think the teacher would put Hélios' name in the bowl. Alex could barely hide her cringing when the teacher announced it. The teacher, however, shot her an apologetic look...and something else. It felt like the teacher was trying to convey something to Alex through her expression. Then it dawned on Alex. It was rigged. It was already decided without the bowl that she would be paired up with Hélios. Alex shrugged at the teacher with a little smile and the teacher looked relieved. She felt honored that the teacher trusted her with this. There's no use agonizing over it. This was her reality now and Alex simply had to make the best of it. As soon as the teacher finished reading off the pairs, Alex took her bag, stood up and walked straight to Hélios. She could see pitying eyes and envious eyes, even admiration towards her lack of hesitation, following her—but mostly curiousity. She could hear sports announcer voice in her head. The prep kid and the troublemaker! Battle of the century! "Hey, Hélios." Alex spoke, but her voice caught. She cleared her throat and cursed internally to herself. She scanned around him, looking for a seat. A guy pointed to the empty chair beside him with his eyes. "May I sit here?" This time, her voice was clear and friendly, if not a little too polite. She was naturally soft-spoken, but articulates her word clearly. Some said it made them want to sit straight. A trait she picked up from her grandfather who sounded formal even at home. Hélios dragged his gaze across the students as they picked up their belongings and sat with their assigned partners. Then he switched his amber gaze to his pencil, as he waited for his partner to show up. He couldn't understand why the teacher even bothered to pair someone to him. From the long list of uncompleted assignments from the past, she should have known he's not doing jack for this assignment either. It was no different with a partner. Obviously, it didn't scare him that this was worth so much of their grade, the same way it would to a good student. Lio watched as Alexandria walked over to him. He didn't recognize her. Well, more so he couldn't put a name to the face. Maybe he'd seen her in the halls, but she wasn't someone he's talked to, and if he did he didn't remember. Just with the way she walked he could tell she was a goody two shoes. Probably had a 4.0, or higher. Not a single crease in her uniform. Not even a strand of hair out of place. She screamed teachers pet. "Hey, Hélios." His glare unmoving at the greeting. She said it like they were friends, or they knew each other. That was until her voice caught. "May I sit here?" Immediately, he disliked her. She was too friendly for his liking. Or at least that's how she presented herself. It seemed fake, just like the rest of the kids in this school. Her friendliness seemed as though she was walking on egg shells around him, as if he'd have a mental break and snap. It wasn't unusual for some to treat him this way. He hated it nonetheless. "No." He deadpanned, sharply. "My laps open for you to sit on though." Sarcasm dripped from his words, as well as a touch of annoyance. He scoffed, fixing his gaze else where. He'd only said that because she looks like the exact time to get embarrassed by something like that being said to her. Already wanting this interaction to be over with. Though it was far from finished. He knew he was being an asshole, to someone he didn't even know. Did he care? No. Hell, she probably already made up her mind about him. Add her to the long list of people that disliked him. As long as they went to Sumner High, he automatically didn't like them. Having not been paying attention, he had no idea what the assignment was. It's not like if he had been listening, he would have done it. The girl would have to pick up the slack for him. She could try and rat him out to the teacher for not helping, but what good would that do her? Certainly, it wouldn't scare Lio. The teacher would more than likely not bother approaching Lio about it. (Sorry short)
