Name: Sonoma Eresky Gender: Male Age: 21 Appearance: Sonoma has white skin with a moderate tan on his upper body. He has deep brown eyes and moderately long dark brown hair. His tail is scarlett with bright red spots throughout. He wears a simple necklace with five shark teeth held together by a string, which was handed down to him by a friend of his which has since passed away. Sonoma also has a small scar on the lower left side of his back. Personality: Sonoma was a loner for some time after leaving the guide and care of his parents, perferring to stay away from everyone, even other merfolk and sirens for the longest time. However, he recently began following a group of sirens because he began to loathe the feeling of being alone, however it's obvious that he truly doesn't feel comfortable within the group. He tries to act cool and attract the attention of a mermaid or siren to hopefully begin a relationship with them, but he has no luck as of yet. Sonoma does have a bit of a hard time retaining focus on one thing for an extended period of time and his mind can wander off if he gets bored. If something he is in charge of begins to go off the rails, he'll slowly become more and more frnactic in trying to return everything to normal. Likes: Honest friends, good times, and the sun Dislikes: Annoying or boring people, liars, and losing control of situations.

Melfi grunted as the winds tried to push her over. Stupid storm, of course, one had to start right as she arrived at her beach house for the next however many months she'd be there. What a way to start her vacation. Carrying her bags into the house, her back slammed against the door, attempting to force it closed against the winds. Dropping the bags, Melfi turned around and hurriedly slammed the door and locked it. With the door closed, she ran around the house to close up any open windows. Once that was done, she found a safe corner in the living room to sit and wait out the storm. Hopefully, there wouldn't be too much damage once the storm stopped. Her life was crazy enough and did not need any complications to her vacation.

Sonoma started up at the sky, resting on top of the water to tan his skin a bit more, however storm clouds have now completely covered the sky and blocked the sun from ever casting its rays down upon the water for the time being. Groaning with irritation, Sonoma dived underneath the water's surface to avoid the inclement weather and wind, however the waves were already beginning to pick up and the current of the water was starting to hasten. I should be fine. Not the first storm I've ever lived through, and plus I'll just ride the waves back to my friends and wait it out from deep below. Sonoma smirked as his scarlett red tail waved back and forth graciously, moving him through the water along with the rush of the water, which only moved faster as the storm settled in to unleash its wrath upon the land and the sea alike. Sonoma could feel the shark teeth on his necklace shift about haphazardly, and despite the movement they weren't at risk of snapping off of the basic necklace that they were attached to. He didn't have a noticable frame by any means; in fact he loathed the pictures of merfork as they proved to be exaggerated under general circumstances. In saying all of that he wasn't out of shape, but he also wasn't a hulk of muscles like a few of the mermen that are out there in the sea. Sonoma found himself in the middle: he was lean and had some figure to his body, but he wasn't a stunner, a fact that was repeated to him on more than one occasion by the mermaids he tried to court in the past. The storm was unrelenting. Melfi was sure she was going to have to clean outside or patch something up when it was over. When it finally died down, she waited about an hour before going outside. Taking off her hat, she headed outside to assess the damage. Nothing looked too battered or broken, some of the plants could use a little loving, but nothing too horrible. The beach house looked alright as well. That put ease to her heart. Her first day of vacation wouldn't have to be spent putting everything back and fixing the house. Melfi took a deep breath of the fresh, sea air. A half-hearted smile graced her lips before she got to work cleaning up the sand. Random branches of trees littered the beach. As she was cleaning up, something caught her eyes. What was that? It was a large object just along the water's edge.

Sonoma used the pull of the current to carry him with little effort towards where he called home, however something rather unexpected happened. He completely overshot his home and was pulled even faster thanks to the current. Well this isn't good. Sonoma desperately tried to pull himself out of the current, but it was obvious that he didn't have the strength to overrule the seas, so all he could do was move with the current and hope for either an opening to break away or for him to be placed somewhere safe... enough for him to get out. But as the storm continued on Sonoma was only whipped farther and farther off course, and when he looked forward at what was coming along; rocks, lots of rocks. Let's see what I can do! Sonoma grinned as he pushed forward, weaving through the rocks with the current, altering his course ever so slightly to miss the rocks with easy. Too easy. What was I ever worried abo- Sonoma's thought was halted and he smacked off of a rock pillar. He tried to collect himself but he was thrown against another rock, this time with more force than the last one. Sonoma clawed himself off of the rock and was heading straight towards a wall of it, knowing that it was probably going to hurt upon impact. He collided with the wall and was promptly knocked out, mindlessly drifting along with the water until he was cast upon the water's edge, his red scales shining from the sun which had now broken through the storm clouds.

Whatever it was, it was huge and- Red? Melfi took a glance at the water and felt the usual fear feeling build up. But the red object could possibly be a person, and she didn't want to leave them out there, so she needed to help. Trying not to look at the water, she ran across the beach, all the way to the water's edge. Even just feeling the water go over her feet sent chills up her spine. The memories attached to the water immediately disappeared when she got a close look at what was in the water. What in world?! A merman?! Looking around, Melfi tried to figure out if this was a dream or actually happening. Her eyes fell back on the unconscious merman at her feet. His body looked pretty battered like he had crashed into something. That would explain why he wasn't conscious. Not wanting to stand in the water any longer, Melfi decided to try and wake him up. Clearing her throat, she bent down and tried shaking his shoulder. "Um, hello? Sir? Can you hear me?" Waitng a few moments and getting nothing, she groaned before deciding to pull him out of the water partway so she could get out of the water and keep him from floating away. Grabbing his arms, Melfi tried her best to pull him out of the water, just even a foot or so. Deciding that was enough, she put his arms down and sat a few feet away on the sand, watching him closely.

When Sonoma finally came to, he could feel that he was on the sand and no longer in the water. I'm guessing that the current carried me all the way to the beach... wherever I am. Sonoma's eyes fluttered open and he looked up at the sky, and judging by the white puffy clouds and the sunlight the storm had passed during the time he was knocked out. My father did always tell me that I shouldn't ever underestimate the power of the currents... now I have a major headache as a receipt. Sonoma moved his tail in varying directions to make sure that nothing was majorly wrong, and after he was satisfied with that he checked over his body to examine the scrapes and bruises before clutching his necklace, finding comfort in the fact that it was still together in one piece. After the self check Sonoma looked to his left towards the water before turning to his right, and he stopped dead when he saw her. It was a human: she was tall, had darker skin, green eyes and brown hair. Sonoma looked for a brief second at the clothing that she wore and simply coudln't wrap his head around the attire. Humans always had the strangest clothing. Sonoma bit his tongue and was purely at a loss for words. This human might have pulled him out of the water, potentially saving him, but at the same time it was a cardinal sin for any merfolk to be discovered by humans. He couldn't simply swim away; his body was racked with pain and a quick getaway would be difficult and he would have to drag himself back into the water and away from the sand, so he would have to give her a brief dialouge before he left. "I'm not sure what I should say, but I thank you for pulling me out of the water. I was knocked out by the storm and you decided to help me out. Thank you and goodbye." With that Sonoma turned and quickly tried to get back into the water, but his breath left him quickly and he collapsed onto the sand. So maybe he was in worse condition than he first thought. Sighing with resentment, he turned back to the human. "Perhaps I cannot head back to my home because of my injuries. Before other humans descend upon me and haul me away, answer me this question: what do you plan on doing to me?"

Melfi did her best not to flinch or make a sound when the merman woke up. He seemed to be checking himself over for injuries. While he was distracted, she decided to take a better look at him. He was not what she had expected, though she couldn't even imagine what she should have expected. Merfolk wasn't supposed to be real. They were supposed to be what little girls dreamed to be up until their teen years when they get a big splash of reality. Pulling her legs up to her chest, Melfi watched his eyes and spotted the exact moment he noticed her. Before she could even get a word out, he spoke to her and tried to move himself out to the water. Feeling bad for him when he couldn't pull himself back out to the water, she kept her expression neutral as he spoke to her again. "Well, I don't think you have to worry about anyone hauling you away, seeing as I'm the only one for quite a few miles." Melfi took a look around with a small smile before letting her eyes fall back on him. "I originally was just going to make sure you were okay and let you go on your way. However, seeing as your too hurt to do that, I guess the right thing would be to help you get better. I'm not exactly sure how though."
