Ok so as most blockbuster movies , the movie more often than not was "based on a/the book " like the HTTYD movies were based on the book series ( side note while geared towards children/young audiences , those are actually a good read in my opinion lol)
now I have loved the Jurassic Park/world movies ( Jurassic Park since I was a kid actually) say what you want about them, but looking at them and watching them has always been entertaining and strangely enough actually cheers me up ( yeah the movies basically about dinosaurs turning humans into lunch is something that cheers me up, I don't know what to tell you xD ) my mom used the movie as a " your sick , throwing up and miserable .... fine we'll watch the stupid horror dinosaur movie " reward/feel better thing , now that was when I was 6-7 and I remember watching it and completely oblivious to the fact that they were eating people lol I was just like " look at the cool dinosaurs ^.^ " so later on in life she tells me that she when she first let me watch it , she thought it would scare me away from dinosaurs....... yeah that plan backfired horribly lol
So I've known that the series was based off of a book but I've never looked into reading the books ( Jurassic Park & lost world) well after stumbling upon YouTube videos which go through different lore about the movies and a lot reference the books. I decided that it was finally time to read them. Best decision ever!
im not going to give anything away incase someone else might want to read them but boy I was not expecting the stuff I've read so far , there's so much more than what made it into the movie. So far I highly recommend reading it if you're a Jurassic Park fan{ i don't want to give spoilers but if you're a minor/ sensitive to blood/gore don't read it } . I've only made it about 50 pages in but it's something that has honestly cheered me up the last few days. What's even better is that I was able to grab the hardcover collectors edition, I love hardcover books <3 there easier for me to read so it makes it even better ^^
so yeah finally after a few years I can finally read Jurassic Park & the lost world by Michael Crichton *^*
