The bear icon is for enemies. It must be at zero to advance to the next level of that terrain. Restarting the level will only reset that level in particular. You can use a map to try and find it but I personally prefer to reset the level

the bear icon are the enemies left, restarting will clear your current levels progress yes

I don't think so? I'm assuming the little bear icon at the top means what prey is left.

Will restarting the forest reset all my progress towards the next territory? I don't think i have any Unknown Tiles left to prompt prey

or do i have like, unhunted prey somewhere on the map I need to go find?

thank you for the help!!

You have to battle all enemies but you don't have to battle all prey :)

Do you buy pups just to kill them?

I have noticed in my short time on this game people will win raffles, auctions, and straight-up buy wolves just to retire them.

I want to hear other people's side of this honestly and I want to know why they do it.

Are the stats just that bad?

Is the pup just THAT ugly?

If you do this I have some questions

What are the requirements for retiring the wolf?

1. How much are you willing to spend just to retire the wolf?

2. What gets a wolf immediately retired

3. Is there a reward for this? other than a feeling of community service

4. What makes you upset that breeders do?

Usually not much more than 5 mush.

2. What gets a wolf immediately retired
Being on the market and being cheap, or being born in my pack and not meeting decent requirements or being worth selling.

3. Is there a reward for this? other than a feeling of community service
Yeah, you get bones. Bones can be used to buy many things in Bidoo's Bone Shop and also I just like to hoard them ahah.

4. What makes you upset that breeders do?
Nothing I can think of.

I often scour the market for cheap or free wolves to buy and retire to get more bones. I've actually been doing this since before bones were added to the game, and was in an alliance based purely on clearing bad pups out of the market.
Before bones were added the trading post was *full* of low value wolves being sold for 0 mushrooms, so I'd buy and retire to clear them out.
I've just kept this up, I guess.

Sorry about the late response!
I am enjoying hoarding the bones haha. Also that's pretty admirable you've got a commitment to making the market less muddy.
